" SUNNY.. I'm not doing it, I'm not ready. " MARI chokes up the words through her tears, she had already apologized for not being ready to do the recital many times before telling him clearly that she couldn't do it, but for some reason when she looked at SUNNY all she could see in his eyes was resentment, hate.
" Well.. I didn't want to do it at first either, but we've been practicing for SO long! I'm not going on that stage just to play my part, you'd be embarrassing me, MARI! What about that? What about how I feel? " SUNNY snaps back, his eye twitching. He didn't want to argue with MARI - but he was left with no choice but to.. he didn't want to go on the stage alone, what he wanted in the first place was to just spend some time with MARI, to bond with her, to have people be proud of her, to have her in the spotlight on the stage with him. But now she wanted to throw that away, all the practice, all the tears, all the stress, all the effort, all of the work.
" I'm not gonna argue with you SUNNY. We can talk about it tomorrow. " MARI stares at SUNNY with a hurt expression, she knew he wouldn't understand right now.. she wanted him to just clear his head, she wanted to clear HER head. She hated being angry like this, but SUNNY treating her so horribly made it the only normal reaction for her to have. She turned away and snapped her head back to stare at SUNNY, who had grabbed her by the wrist in an attempt to try and continue the argument.
" MARI.. " SUNNY tries to reach out for MARI, grabbing her by the wrist - He wanted to understand what her point in the argument was, why she couldn't just sort it out with him NOW instead of backing out so quickly.. he didn't get it, he was too young to get the point in her decision. SUNNY's eyes widened as he felt the pressure of 2 hands push him. " MARI !! " SUNNY screams, he reaches out for MARI's hand - her palm was too sweaty from the stress of the argument to grip on to.
" ...SUNNY ! " MARI yelps, tears blocking her vision - as a thud and the faint snapping / cracking sound filled the atmosphere MARI noticed a silhouette in the light of the door creak.. she wipes her eyes and notices who it is, HERO. She races down the stairs and approaches HERO, he's just as shocked as MARI is. " HERO I swear, I didn't mean to.. I didn't mean to push him I was just.. I was angry I didn't know! Please, please don't tell anyone.. " MARI sobs as she frantically explains to HERO that it was an accident, it wasn't supposed to happen, SUNNY wasn't supposed to fall.
