The next day, Taehyung was running down the corridor because he had woken up late on his very first day at the new school. He still had pain in his shoulder.
“Thanks a lot, you scary yet cute vampire.”
Flashback
“What?” Taehyung looked at Jimin with wide eyes.
“What? What???” Jimin looked back with a confused expression.
“That man! The king of vampires? Are you kidding me?” Taehyung gave him a disbelieving look.
Jimin started to explain, but Taehyung, whining, interrupted, “No way! He’s too cute to be a vampire.”
Jimin knew about the craze for vampires at the academy, but he also knew the reality—that vampires were scary and dark.
“They might look cute until they slit your throat and drain your blood in mere ten seconds,” he stated matter-of-factly.
Taehyung just nodded, but the wish to meet the king of vampires lingered in his heart. He was also really angry about the pain in his shoulder and how the cute, scary vampire hadn’t even apologized for his mistake.
End Flashback
Taehyung remembered that Jin had been shouting and cursing at Jimin and him, telling them to get up, but being as lazy as they were, they had put pillows over their ears and gone back to sleep.
They finally woke up at nine and, now running late, were trying to avoid being marked absent and punished for missing another class.
When they reached the classroom door, the teacher was calling out names to mark attendance. Jimin shouted, “Yes! I’m here!” when he heard, “Angel/Fairy of Air—Park Jimin.”
The teacher gave them both a look and then turned to Taehyung. “This is your first day, and you’re late.”
“Sorry, Miss!” Taehyung apologized as they made their way into the room, where they saw Jin waving at them with a smirk on his face. They showed him a middle finger and a tight-lipped smile, which made Jin laugh.
Soon, the class ended. The lesson had been boring, consisting mainly of instructions on their powers and methods to control them. However, after thirty minutes, there was another class where they would practice what they had just learned.
