Rolling her eyes, she responded saying she was at Riley's school group, and they'd talk after she was in bed.
"Okay everybody, welcome to group this week. I'm Ms.Amy, we've had some new faces join this week. Let's go around and introduce ourselves."
First of course was Karen, as well as her son Hunter. The next few were people Janet did not care to learn the names of.
"HI, I'm Carol, this is one of my sons Buddy, unfortunately his brother was under the weather today, so he stayed with Memaw. We just moved up here from Austin, Texas." Janet zoned back in, trying not to laugh at the kid named Buddy.
"Hello, I am Misha, and this is my brother Sergei. Our mother did not attend with us today. We have moved back to the US from Russia."
"Hey, I'm Janet, this is Riley," Janet paused, "You really named your kid Buddy? What kind of name is Buddy?"
"Hey, let's not start today Janet." Interupted the teacher before Carol could butt in.
"Not my fault she named her kid after one of the most popular names from a list for dogs."
"Excuse me!" Carol accused, "I saw you drinking from a flask before you came in, you have no say."
Ms. Amy shut them both up with a harsh glare, and continued with the days stories and songs.
Before leaving Janet was pulled aside and reminded to come to group sober.
