"Are you two dating?"

Chan and I turned towards Taehee, who just asked that annoying question, disturbing my conversation with Chan.

"No", I replied irritatedly.

"It's none of your business.", Chan retorted.

"So... That's a Yes?!", she smirked.

I panicked a little and started speaking, "No. It's not. We are best friends since -", but Chan cut my words off, "Y/N-ahh, Stop giving her unnecessary explanations."

She arched her eyebrows as she said, "It's not unnecessary. I'm her cousin, in case you don't know.", a smirk playing on her lips.

"Just a cousin, not her parent.", he said, rolling his eyes.

"Chan, please stop.", I said holding his arm, assuming that it would stop him from worsening the situation. Then I turned towards Taehee, trying not to show that I was anxious, and spoke, "Taehee, look, we are friends. Best friends. Please don't cook up stories."

After listening to my words, she raised her left brow and spoke, "Uhmm... But why are you so nervous? Suspicious... I observed you for more than 15 days and you are always with him. So, I think I'm right."

"Yaahhh... Don't you have any other work? Think whatever you want. We are leaving.", he shouted and pulled me, trying to leave.

She started laughing at us, sounding like a wicked witch. "See you are running from me. If oppa knows about this, he will beat the shit out of you.", she said looking at Chan.

"Seokmin hyung..? Well, tell him and see his response. He knows about us and he trusts our friendship. He is not a lunatic to believe your words. Try it if you want.", he spat out.

"Confidence.., huh?? Should I tell her parents then?", she asked with an evil smile.

Nervousness filled my face.

"Do whatever you want. We know what we are doing. And it's NONE. OF. YOUR. BUSINESS.", he shouted angrily and left the class dragging me along with him.

"Yahhh... Why did you do that?", I yelled at him as my eyes welled up with tears.

"What??"

I looked at him angrily and tears rolled down my cheeks, beyond my efforts to control it. "What if she tells my parents?"

"Relax. Nothing will happen. She won't tell them.", he said assuringly.

"She won't tell..? She enjoys it if I'm in trouble. She will definitely tell them.", I said with tears continuously falling from my eyes.

"No. She won't... at least not now.", he said, looking into my eyes. "So stop crying."

"How are you so sure about that?", I asked, wiping my tears with one hand.

"I just know.", he shrugged.

[...]

"What happened?", Dokyeom asked.

"Nothing"

"Then why are you standing here? Let's go inside.", he said while pulling my hand.
