Dokyeom: "Why didn't you tell me?"
You: "Didn't tell what?"
He sat beside you in the bed that you are lying in. He held your hands gently in a comforting manner.
Dokyeom: "About what happened that day..."
You: "Did Chan tell you?"
Dokyeom: "Yes. You were able to tell your friend, but not your brother. That kinda hurts, you know?"
You: "I'm sorry oppa. But I felt a little uncomfortable. You know, she spoke ill about us and our relationship. How would you think I can tell you that? It's disgusting to even think about her words."
Saying that you felt a pressure in your throat and tears in your eyes. You have not yet let out your emotions from that day. All your emotions are pressuring to come out of you.
Dokyeom: "It's okay. I am glad that atleast you have someone to open up, even if it is not me. And, it is okay to express your emotions. You can cry as much as you want."
With that, you broke into tears on Dokyeom's chest. He said nothing and just patted your back. You wail about everything that hurt you, like Taehee being ruthless to you, your parents not trusting you and not being affectionate to you, them not having visited you at the hospital and so on.
After about 30 minutes, your heart felt light after pouring out all your pain and worries. In these 30 minutes, he didn't speak anything but just listened to you, being an emotional support.
You: "Did Chan tell about this to everyone?"
Dokyeom: "No. He told me privately. Don't worry."
You: "I'm relieved now", you say with a small smile.
Dokyeom: "You have to rest now. You will definitely feel sleepy after crying a lot. But wait until I bring you something to eat."
Dokyeom's PoV:
I am going to kitchen to bring some food for her. It has been a few days since she ate well. It would be better if mom has cooked something. She loves mom's cooking very much. Oh! My mom's in the kitchen...
"Hi mom"
"Hey Dokyeom-ahh, why are you here? Are you hungry? Do you want any snacks?"
"No mom. I came to get food for Y/N."
"Ohh"
Her voice became low and her smile faded away.
"Mom, what happened?"
"Nothing I'm just worried about her. Can you ask her to come here?"
"Why mom? She can't walk on her own now. You can come and see her in the guest room."
"What? Is her leg injured? She will be alright soon, right?"
She started sobbing. I held her hands...
"No mom. Her leg is not injured. But you seeing her in person is better than me explaining about her injuries."
"No. I can't go there."
"Why mom? If you are worried about her this much, why can't you just go to see her yourself?"
"Who asked her to go out with boys? That's why your father is so angry with her. It's your father's order to not take care of her. What do you expect me to do other than obeying it?"
"Mom, I may not be mature enough to say this. But, failing as a wife is better than failing as a mother. Try to understand and trust your daughter. You don't know how much she cried longing for even the slightest form of affection from you two. Please come and see her."
"What if your dad gets to know about this?"
"He is not home yet mom. If you worry about Taehee, I will take her somewhere. I will make sure she won't return for atleast an hour. Go to see Y/N and please listen to her side of the story. If she hesitates to tell you, I will tell you everything."
She nodded, wiping her tears.
With that, I left the kitchen and went to see Taehee. I hate taking her out, but I ought to do this now.
