Chapter 5: "Turn around hun, your girlfriend is there."

Mia's POV:
"Surprise!" I hear a girl say. That was what I was supposed to say... What? Who just said that? Does Ashton have a secret girlfriend who is also surprising him by going on the tour?

I'm still sitting in Ashton's seat. He hasn't seen me yet, he's to busy staring at the girl who called surprise.

She looks familiar, but I'm not sure why.

"Turn around hon, your girlfriend is there." She says and I realize how I know her. It was the flight attendant who had let me come on early. Awh, she's sweet.

Wait.

She called me his girlfriend. My cheeks instantly flush red as Ashton says, "Girlfriend?" and turns around.
I jump up and yell, "SURPRISE!" After hesitation I yell, "AGAIN!"

Luckily he laughs and pulls me into a hug, whispering in my ear, "Long time no see, girlfriend."

I flush red again and hope he doesn't see, but he does and says, "You look so cute when you blush." Then he pulls out of the hug and sits down.

I sit next to him as Michael, Luke, and Calum all talk around us.

"I love planes." Ashton whispers. "Especially long ones sitting next to you for many hours."

I blush once again and he winks at me, kissing my cheek.

--10 HOUR PLANE RIDE LATER--

Right when we land the boys and I sprint for the baggage claim. We had to be in the limo on the way to the first show/soundcheck by 3:30 and it was currently 3:15.

We run through customs and baggage claim then climb into the limo at exactly 3:29. The driver gets straight onto the freeway and goes exactly 8 over the speed limit.

---AT THE SOUNDCHECK---
I sit backstage waiting for their soundcheck to be done. There's a little TV screen that shows the stage and whats going on, but I'm on my phone. On Twitter to be exact.

@5SOS: First show on our world tour TONIGHT! See ya at 8 Vancouver!

@luke5SOS: Vancouver you pumped??? See ya tonite w/ a special surprise for you❤️

@ashton5SOS: So happy that the tour's starting off with you guys and Mia😍 @mia5sosart

That last tweet that Ash tagged me in was getting lots of questions, but also giving me lots of hate. People were going to my page and commenting mean things about my love of art.

I decided to tweet something to clear this up.

All four boys favorited and re-tweeted my tweet and Ash commented.

I smile and favorite his comment, not responding.

-----RIGHT BEFORE FIRST CONCERT-----
"Three minutes boys, Calum and Michael go out there and talk to them."

Cal and Mikey go onstage, earning lots of screams from the crowd.

"Luke, you're coming on from the other side. Ash, stay here with the girl."

"My name's Mia." I say to the stage manager.

"And mine's Sally. Now let's exchange friendship bracelets and be best friends forever!" He said in a high pitched, girly, sarcastic voice.

I smiled at him and he walked away, annoyed.

"One minute!" He called over his shoulder.

"Good luck." I tell Ash as we walk towards the stage.

He turns to me and, with only thirty seconds left before they go onstage, kisses me. He grabs my cheeks, pulling me towards him and pushes our lips together. I close my eyes. His lips are soft against mine. "10, 9, 8..." I hear a countdown going through his ear piece and pull away, pushing him onstage.

-----THREE SONGS LATER-----

"Up next is Hearbreak Girl," Ashton says, "And I'd like to dedicate this song to the girl who friend-zones me again and again." I blush and giggle.

All of the people who had seen his comment on my tweet laughed as they began the song.

----MANY SONGS LATER----

"Alright, I'm sad to say that this is the last song of the night, but this is where the surprise comes in." Calum announces.

Ashton says, "The song we'll be playing is Amnesia, but we'd like to bring out someone to sing it with us. Mia, could you come up onstage?"

Awh that's cute, singing with a fan.

Wait.

Mia.

That's my name.
