"Aegon called his dream 'The Song of Ice and Fire'"

As Aerion came to meet with his father in the throne room near Balerion's skull, he felt excited a feeling he hasn't felt since before his mothers death.

"Father" Aerion greeted

"Balerion was the last living creature to see old Valyria before the doom its greatness and its flaws, when you look at the dragons what do you see?" Viserys asks his son

"I see us, Targaryen's people say we are closer to Gods then men but they say that because of our dragons, without our dragons we are nothing" Aerion tells the king

"The idea that we control our dragons is an illusion, they're a power men should never have trifled with one that brought Valyria its doom, if we don't mind our own histories it will do the same to us, Targaryen's must understand this to be king" Viserys said looking at Aerion "im sorry Aerion, for that I did not consider you fit for the thrown, you were not raised in hopes of being king I saw a different life for you, but I now see clearly that you and only you are meant to be the king of the seven kingdoms, you are the very best of your mother and I believe, I know she did, that you could be a great king. You were made to wear the crown, this is no trivial gesture Aerion, a dragon saddle is one thing but the Iron throne is the most dangerous in the realm there is something else I need to tell you, it might be difficult for you to understand but you must hear it our histories they tell us that Aegon looked across the blackwater from Dragonstone saw a rich land ripe for the capture but ambition alone is not what drove him to conquest it was a dream and just as Daenys foresaw the end of old Valyria. Aegon foresaw the end of the world of men 'tis to begin with a terrible winter gusting out at the distant north' Aegon saw absolute darkness riding on those winds and whatever dwells within will destroy the world of the living  when this great winter comes Aerion all of Westeros must stand against it and if the world of men is to survive a Targaryen must be seated on the iron throne a king or queen strong enough to unite the realm against the cold and the dark Aegon called his dream 'the song of ice and fire' this secret its been passed from king to heir since Aegon's time now you must promise to carry it and protect it, promise me this Aerion promise me

"Have you heard" Aerion asks Alicent

"About you being named heir?" Alicent asks making Aerion nod in confirmation "yes I am happy for you Aerion"

"But?" Aerion asks

"But, I know you are to be soon betrothed and I worry that we will no longer have time together"

"Trust me, whoever I marry will have to understand that you, my Hightower come first" Aerion told the girl taking her hand "I have to go meet Borros now but I will see you later"

"Yes of course"

"I am proud of you" Borros Baratheon told his closest friend
