I thought back to my Y/N's happy smile, my mother's lifeless expression, and the scan where I felt my baby's first heartbeat. I've been placed in the hospital bed, and I can no longer open my eyes. My ears ached; I was losing my ability to hear. All around me, beeping devices are awakening me. My fingers had various pipes inserted in an attempt to keep my blood pressure stable, but I knew it would be ineffective.

My wife and my children were all I could see and feel. My father told me to be brave and that if I were shot, nothing bad would happen to me. My wife gave birth to two healthy sons, he informed me. But I was shot severely before I could react to anything around me. As I lay there, the pain intensified with each passing moment.

The room was filled with a sense of urgency and panic as doctors and nurses rushed around me, trying to save my life. Despite the chaos, I held onto a glimmer of hope, knowing that my family's love and support would give me the strength to fight through this unimaginable ordeal.

3rd person's POV

Y/N was lying on the bed like a lifeless body; her mind couldn't comprehend the accident her husband had to go through. It was so painful, even to imagine it. She looked to her right; her two boys were healthy and beautiful. A tear once again slid through her cheeks—the boys reminded her more of her husband. She wanted to go, run, and check on her husband. She needed to see him with her own eyes, to hold his hand, and to reassure herself that he was going to be okay.

The weight of worry and fear pressed heavily on her chest, making it difficult to breathe. She knew she had to stay strong for her children, but the desire to be by her husband's side was overwhelming. But she had to rest for a while; she had lost a lot of blood because the contractions hit her immensely, yet the child's head wouldn't come out. She needed blood.

It was such a mess, but everything was sorted out eventually. Right now, what she was worried about was her husband's well-being. She hoped he was okay and that he had received the medical attention he needed. The thought of him being alone in pain made her heart ache even more.

Just then, she hears her door open while her father-in-law walks inside. He sanitized his hands and went to take a look at the boys. "My little Taehyung!" He exclaimed while Y/N smiled hopelessly. Her eyes hadn't stopped crying; all this time she only wanted one thing, and that was Taehyung's presence. She longed for it.

As her father-in-law examined the boys, Y/N couldn't help but feel a glimmer of relief. Having him there provided some comfort, knowing that someone was looking after them. However, deep down, she still yearned for Taehyung's presence and wished he could be there with them at that moment.

The following day, Y/N had already arrived at the hospital room. She carefully opened the door and took a quick look inside. Looking at her husband's condition—he was wrapped in bandages, his chest swelled with scars, and multiple pipes kept him alive while he was in a coma—made her heart tighten and her eyes well up with tears. He was in a severe state. He was shot numerous times, and the bullets destroyed the lower half of his rib cage. The doctor informed her that he had little chance of life despite having multiple concussions and significant injuries to his back and chest.

In addition, he had knife marks on his back, although he was unable to feel them penetrate due to the high level of adrenaline in him. Y/N was well familiar with her husband; a look at him would make anyone shudder. His face was bruised and swollen, with deep gashes and cuts that marred his once handsome features. The sight of him lying there, so vulnerable and broken, brought back memories of the countless times he had put himself in danger for the sake of others. Y/N couldn't help but feel a mix of anger towards those responsible for his condition and a pang of profound sadness at the thought of losing him.
