A very long chapter ahead: 3700 words.
Y/N's POV
I held my crying child and patted his back while gently raising my dress and allowing him to suck on my breast. His eyelids close as soon as he grips onto it. The older twin, Jongsung, who had been wailing earlier. My heart would not allow me to move on, so I urged my husband to go ahead and promised to return after I had put our kids to sleep. Jaeyeon probably felt hungry too, but for a baby who is just a few months old, he has a lot more tolerance. The kids are now able to sit independently, but they still trip over things easily since they want to touch and discover everything they see. As I settled down to nurse Jaeyeon, I couldn't help but marvel at how quickly they were growing up. Their curiosity and energy never failed to amaze me, even if it meant a few bumps and bruises along the way.
I sighed and held out my hand to Jaeyeon, who was seated and chewing on his teether. He looked from his pacifier to my face as he clutched my hand. I laugh and kiss him, initiating it as a flying kiss. I can now sense that Jongsung has stopped sucking and is drooling. I quickly tidy him up and adjust his pillow, then gently lay him down to keep him from waking up. I gave him a forehead kiss before turning to face my other kid. "Did my baby patiently wait for his mama while she fed Jaeyeon's Hyung?" I laugh while I speak to him, and he smiles back at me.
Jaeyeon is more intelligent than his months; he recognizes both his father's face and my scent. He used to grin or chuckle whenever Taehyung approached him. I can see the bond forming between them, and it warms my heart to see my children getting along so well. It's moments like these that make all the hard work of parenting worth it. I hear rustling outside the kids' door as I'm preparing to feed him.
Who may that be?
The sound of struggle from the guards and a woman's feeble cry could be heard over the increasing commotion. As I spend time with the newborns, Taehyung has forbidden the nannies from entering the room. I had no option but to go outside and explore with Jaeyeon. I give him his teether so he may be occupied for a little. as soon as I left the chamber. I make a guard call.
Without any delay, they whirled and hid a female behind them. "Who's that girl behind you?"
"Madam Leader, it's—" one of them said, bowing, but the girl's laughter cut him off. "M-Madam Leader, haha." I gave them the signal to have her show me, and when I saw her, I was astounded.
She had a horrible appearance.
However, who is she?
I could see what looked like teeth marks burrowing into her delicate skin, leaving bite scars on her face. Her lips were ripped off and very dry. She appeared as though she had gone weeks without drinking, and the butler had to help her walk because of her hobbling frame. Despite her terrifying appearance, there was a sense of familiarity in her eyes that I couldn't shake. As she spoke, her voice cracked with emotion, revealing a vulnerability that contradicted her outward appearance. It was clear that there was more to this girl than met the eye, and I was determined to uncover the truth behind her presence in my home. "Is that my Taehyung's baby?" Her face changed to one of disbelief, as though she hadn't anticipated this. She was so astonished that her mouth fell open. However, what shocked me was my Taehyung.
"Excuse me? Can you tell me who you are?"
"Yuna." She managed to utter.
My eyes widened, not even being able to identify her. She was the daughter of the chief housemaid. "Oh my! How did this happen to you ?" Then, when I saw Jaeyeon, my son's nanny, I signaled her as I noticed that he was starving and had just fallen asleep on my shoulder.
