You had woken up drenched in sweat. Thighs sticky from the dream you were having. In the dream you were running down the corridors trying to run to your class and teach. You had run into Snape and that is where the dream ended.

Now here you are up sitting up-right staring at the blank wall in your room. You figure you should go on a walk to cool down, so it doesn't seem as bad. As you get put of your bed to put on your robe you slip on your slippers that are in front of your bed.

You open your door to a tall black figure. "Can't sleep?" asked snape through the dark. "No Sir, I could not." Your breath hitched in your throat. " No I suppose not since I am up at this hour walking around, sorry professor."

You continued to walk away until you felt a firm grip on your arm " You shouldn't go out at this time its cold out and there is a forest filled with dangers." Your face lifts to a small smile. " I thought the creatures had to stay inside of the forbidden forest?" you said with a smug face.

he looked at you coldly, well not unnormal for him. "Well fine then, but don't blame me when you catch a cold and need a sub for your classes." he says dryly. you give a small sigh before he looks at you and starts pulling you in the opposite direction of your chambers.

"Professor snape might i ask where you are taking me? i think i have the right to know as a teacher and as an adult, or human in general." you say trying not to trip over your own feet. "My chambers, I don't really sleep and we can discuss classes to tire you out. he said starting to slow down his walking by a hair.

As you both slowed you see the door to his chambers. the door opens with a tap of his wand. " you can go in and wait on the sofa I have some papers I need to sort out before i come in. There is tea brewed in the kitchen already if you would like to help yourself." And with that he turned away from you.

As soon as you enter the room, you could make out the scent of incense and exotic herbs. Even though the place looked a bit cluttered with books and other items, you could tell that it was well-kept and clean. The room was lit with dim light and had a very peaceful and tranquil ambiance to it. You were drawn to a leather sofa, sitting close to the fireplace. On the side table were various books, as well as a tea-pot with steaming hot tea inside it. There was also an incense holder, filled with fragrant smoke.

The room was extremely quiet and you were left to sit and wait. After a few minutes, Professor Snape entered the room. He was wearing a loose-fitting robe now, instead of his traditional black robes. His face was calmer now and he looked more relaxed as he came and sat down beside you on the sofa.

"Tough day professor?" You ask looking down at your lap think about lesson plans.

Professor Snape nodded, closing his eyes and rubbing the bridge of his nose wearily.

— Indeed it was. I was grading papers late into the night, only to find you lurking around the halls in the dead of night.

Snape looks at you and notices how tired you look. He notices how your eyes are red from lack of sleep. Snape's expression softens slightly as he looks at you with more concern instead of anger now.

"Well you too like around the castle I remember that only because I was caught by you countless times during my learning here." You giggled

A rare sight to behold in this room, Snape smiles a bit at your little joke and his expression lightened as he exhaled quietly.

— Well indeed you do have a point there. I used to roam these halls during my days at Hogwarts, often into the late hours. It might be that seeing you remind me of those times, when it comes to the trouble you get into.

Snape's voice is still monotone and the sternness is still noticeable in his expression, but not entirely as before, when the anger was still present.

"Well as a professor here I don't think I'll find myself getting into anything at all." You say looking at him.

Professor Snape remained silent for a moment, staring at you with his characteristic dark eyes. But the intensity of his gaze was gone, as he seemed to find himself staring at you for too long. Snape clears his throat and shifts his gaze, seeming embarrassed now. Snape's expression becomes a bit awkward now as he clears his throat again, seeming to search for something to say. When Snape does speak, his voice is quieter now, not quite as authoritarian as before.

Professor Snape's face was becoming a bit flushed now. Snape tried to continue but struggled, and when he spoke, his voice was hoarse and husky, not the usual authoritative tone he was known for. Snape struggled with saying anything more as he was struggling with something inside himself. His voice was hoarse and husky again, and he tried to keep himself together now.

"Are you alright sir?" You asked confused.

Snape tries to clear his throat, but his words only end up becoming hoarser.

— It is nothing. The stress of teaching and all that. It is nothing more than that.

Professor Snape looked away from you now, trying to regain his composure now as he was still feeling overwhelmed by the emotions he felt now.

You two spent the rest of that evening reading books in silence and you don't even remember dozing off.
