Growing up, jisung did not have the best life. He didn't have the latest phone, nor a television for entertainment like some of the kids in his village. Heck he didn't even have any friends.

Often times than none, the wifi got cut and it would be that way for, sometimes, well over a year before it was put back on.

Not only that, he's had to experience living without water and electricity at some points, however, his smile never once faded.

He was known to everyone as the bubbly boy from up the street who never failed to greet you with an eye catching smile as well as a 'good morning' or 'good evening'.

Things at home were shaky, but he had his parents. He was content. Jisung couldn't ask for more.

Jisung was now in his room packing his bag for school which he would be late for if he didn't get a move on.

He hastily laced up his shoes once he was finished with his bag, then headed out to greet his parents.

They were engaged in a heated conversation and failed to see their son trying to gain their attention.
So, jisung sighed.

He groaned and walked further into the kitchen, grabbing the last apple to eat on his way to school, not even bothering to tell his parents goodbye.

He doesn't know when or how they started drifting apart from each other but he didn't wanna dwell on it too much.

His parents always tried their best and seemed happy around him, so there was no point in overthinking about the 'what if's'.

Jisung was sure that this was just another hurdle for them to cross, after all, every couple ends up facing this at some point in their relationship.

But jisung was so wrong.
Since it did infact get worse.
