synopsis

In which a lethal prodigy finds something worth living for in the midst of an apocalypse and a cold hearted time traveller learns that there is still good in the world he is so desperately trying to save.

In which Maeve Kenning is exiled from the Commission and wants to live a usual and quiet life in the 60s, until her arch nemesis finds her and convinces her to try saving the world.

Maeve Kenning was unusual in every way imaginable. When she was born on October first, 1989, to a 17-year old girl already more than overwhelmed handling her own life, her mother decided giving the little baby to the nice woman in extravagant fashion who bid her more than enough money for a new, carefree life.

The child, only a year old when she was given away, grew up without any knowledge of her real birth mother and was raised, programmed even, by AJ Carmichael to become the best assassin the Commission had ever known.

And sure; Being raised by the Commission had its benefits — she had an excellent education, a quantity of people willing to risk their lives for her safety and wellbeing, and staggeringly good self-defense skills. But mostly, it came with a price. At eight years old she was ordered to kill a man for the first time.

Ten years later she beat the record of the maximum number of successfully completed exterminations per year, outperforming even the oldest and most experienced members of the Commission and slowly but surely climbing up to becoming the most lethal assassin in the space-time continuum.

To this day, she holds the highest number of total kills in one tenure.
