A Trio Of Misfits

After leaving the reindeer games, poor Rudolph was all alone in the woods, at least until Clarice came to the scene. Clarice: "Rudolph... are you okay?" Rudolph: "No... I'm not... hey... what are you doing here anyway?" Clarice: "I wanted to make sure you were okay... and I'm sorry for what happened at the Reindeer games, I know you didn't mean or hurt anyone." Rudolph: "Yeah... even so... why aren't you laughing at my nose?, all the others did..." Clarice: "Why would I?, I think it's a cute nose, much better than that silly false one you were wearing." Rudolph: "Really?, you don't mind it?" Clarice: "Of course not, and besides... to tell you the truth... I'm not the same as all the other does..." Rudolph: "What do you mean?" asked Rudolph, before Clarice removes her bow and reveals that she has little antlers on her head like the young buck had. Clarice: "This is what I mean..." Rudolph: "I don't get it..." Clarice: "I have antlers... just like you..." Rudolph: "But... so does my dad, all the other reindeer." Clarice: "All the other bucks maybe... but does are not supposed to have antlers... and yet I'm a doe with antlers... which makes me a misfit..." Rudolph: "Gosh... now that you mentioned it... my mother doesn't have antlers... or the other does... so how did you get them?" Clarice: "I don't know... but I do know that if others see me with these antlers... they'll laugh at me too..." Rudolph: "But... I don't find them funny, I kinda like them." Clarice: "Really?" Rudolph: "Sure... I guess we both have a lot in common... I just wished we were like the others..." Clarice: "Yeah... but we are what we are... and I'm sure things will get better... maybe..." said Clarice, before her father, Blitzen (voiced by Garry Chalk) came to the scene. Blitzen: "Clarice!, what are you doing with this buck?" Clarice: "I was just..." Blitzen: "Get home this instant young lady!" Clarice: "Yes dad..." Blitzen: "Now hear this, no doe of mine will be seen hanging out with some red nosed reindeer!" said Blitzen, before he and Clarice left the scene, which made Rudolph very sad as he was now all alone again. Suddenly, Hermey popped out of a snow pile next to Rudolph, surprising the young buck. Hermey: "Oh, is this your snow pile?" Rudolph: "No... who are you?" Hermey: "I'm Hermey... say... I remember you, yeah, the little buck with the shiny nose." Rudolph: "We met?" Hermey: "Yeah, on the day Stormella and her monster came to the factory, mad about her garden being ruined." Rudolph: "Oh... that day... oh yeah... you're that elf who wanted to be... a dentist, right?" Hermey: "That's right, but right now, I'm just an elf... who ran away to find a place where I can fit in." Rudolph: "Um... you mind if I tag along?, cause... I don't fit in with the other reindeer... cause of my shiny nose... you don't mind it, do ya?" Hermey: "I don't mind at all as long as you don't mind me being a dentist." Rudolph: "It's a deal... say uh... what is a dentist?" Hermey: "Um... it's kind of like a doctor, but for teeth." Rudolph: "There are doctors for teeth?" Hermey: "Yes, and it's been my dream to be a dentist... helping people smile better... and to win the heart of... the Tooth Fairy..." Rudolph: "The Tooth Fairy?, you mean you got a crush on the Tooth Fairy?" Hermey: "Yes, and her teeth are perfect." Rudolph: "Gosh..." Hermey: "Now come on Rudolph, we have a long journey ahead of us." said Hermey, before he and Rudolph went off on their own, not knowing what lies ahead of them in the outside world. Back with Clarice, she was very sad as she may not see Rudolph again. Blitzen: "Clarice!, it's time for bed!" Clarice: "But dad... I'm really worried... Rudolph might..." Blitzen: "Forget about that red nosed freak!, you should be with normal bucks, not some misfit freak!" Clarice: "Rudolph is not a freak!, he's a really sweet reindeer and is thoughtful of others!, unlike you!, and if being different is wrong here... then I can't stay here any longer!" said Clarice, before she leaves the stables and ran off outside. Blitzen: "Clarice!, come back!" shouted Blitzen, trying to call the doe back, but she didn't came back and was gone out of sight. Meanwhile, Rudolph and Hermey were trying to travel through a snowy night, before hearing a roar of some wild animal. Rudolph: "W-what was that?" Hermey: "The Abominable Snow Monster of the North!, he might see your nose!, hide the light!" said Hermey, before covering Rudolph's nose to hide it's light, so that the Abominable Snow Monster of the North, which lets out a mighty and scary roar, won't notice the pair in the snow. Unfortunately, the monster finds them and begins chasing them. When they got to the edge of the sea, they heard someone calling Rudolph's name, which turned out to be Clarice herself, who managed to find him and the elf, before the monster did too. The trio then got cornered on the edge of the ice, and when the monster steps closer, the ice that Rudolph, Hermey and Clarice were on broke away and drifted away from both the monster and the North Pole. Clarice: "Whoa... that was close..." Rudolph: "Clarice... what are you doing here?" Clarice: "Well... I came looking for you... I was worried about you... and I kinda ran away as I had enough of my father yelling at me..." Hermey: "Well it's nice to meet you Clarice, I'm Hermey, Rudolph told me about you." Clarice: "Really?, like what?" Hermey: "Well about being the nicest doe he has ever met." Rudolph: "Yeah... cause you are nice... I wished your dad was as nice..." Clarice: "Yeah... I'm sorry about him... he can be hard to get along with... especially the other reindeer that pulls Santa's sleigh..." Hermey: "No kidding... but I think that's the least of our problems now... like where are we going?" Rudolph: "I don't know... but I don't think we'll get back anytime soon..." said Rudolph, before he and the others see storm clouds forming and hard rain poured down and lightning flashing through the clouds.
