Peek-a-Boo

I silently hum to myself as I kick a rock on the sidewalk on my way to school. 

My school, Greenson Academy, isn't the best school but it's what I have and I would prefer it over living at my parents rundown apartment. Speaking of parents, they...left...awhile ago. Left me alone with only a little bit of food and no electricity. So when Greenson sent me a letter to join I was more than ecstatic.

Greenson University is one of the most gifted schools there is in Tennessee, only the most skilled and trained professionals would be allowed in. That or if your famous enough. I don't know why they would every think about sending me a letter but hey, look at me now, strolling towards the best schools in the state.

 I'm halfway there when I hear some type of thump from the alleyway next to me followed by an annoyed grumble. I turn my head towards the gaping abyss that is the alleyway and contemplate if I should enter or not.......I sneakily walk into the darkness as to not startle whatever is in the dust ridden space.

I squint my eyes as the sudden light glow of something teal gets close.

As I round a corner I stop as I see what seems to be a girl floating in mid air, hands behind her head. Her choppy hair has seemingly no sense of gravity as it moves any way it wants. It looks like she is wearing some sort of uniform; a long sleeve black shirt with cuffs that fold into a dark grey color held by a button, pants that match, and from here what looks like black army boots. She was also pretty short-. 

All of a sudden she sneezed which startled me so I took a step back and crunched a random chip on the ground. This snapped her out of her thoughts and she whipped her head around to look at me. When her brain processed that I was a person standing there a huge grin formed on her face and not event a few seconds passed before she was right in front of me holding my face in her hands.

 "Ooooooo~ look at you! Such nice skin!" she grabbed my arm and squeezed it "Nice muscle structure to!" she seemed to glow a bit brighter "Man I really hit the jackpot on this one!" she let out a maniacal laugh as she lifted me up in the air and spun me around, geez how strong is this girl...?

After that dizzying gesture she set me down and I stumbled around trying to balance myself as she laughed at me "Your fun" she chuckled as she got in my face again "I'm Cindexx nice to meet ya!" she held her hand out to me. 

In my dizzy state I took it and she smiled as she gripped my hand tightly and shook it twice "What about you?" she questioned "Oh uhm hi my name is-" I was interrupted by the sound of police sirens and Cindexx's cheery expression quickly grew into one of shock "S*** well that's my que to leave, cya later four eyes!" she then seemingly faded out of existence as three cops came into the alley. 

"Hey aren't you a student at greenson?" one of the cops said as he approached my right "Uh yes?" I say nervously as I turn to look at him "Well if that's the case your about to be late because classes start in 5 minutes" he points in direction of my school. 

I take a sharp breath in as my eyes go wide and turn around and as quickly as I can, starting running to my school "Thank you!" I shout to the cop who helped me as i'm halfway out the alley "No problem!" he shouts back.
