Hey Tess

AN - Hey guys! This is my first published collection of stories, so let me know what you think! Most of these centre around original characters Jen Morris and Tess Paron, two teachers and a young girl Sophie, but they aren't linked. Enjoy!

Jen Morris was sitting in the humanities staff room, scrolling on her phone and sipping her coffee. It was the first day back after the summer and it was inset, so there were no kids all day. Jen had been teaching at Green Hall for six years, since she graduated university.

The door opened and Rob Smith wandered in, a woman trailing behind him. All eyes lifted to the two.

"Guys, this is Tess Paron, she's Kate's replacement. Law." Rob explained.

Jen's eyes widened and she cleared her throat, putting her empty coffee mug in the dishwasher. Everyone greeted Tess, and smiled at her, welcoming her to the team.

Whilst everyone was occupied with talking about their summers, Jen tugged on Tess's arm, pulling her out into the hallway and into a cupboard next door.

"What the heck dude?!" Jen exclaimed, locking the door and turning, to face the new teacher.

Tess shrugged her shoulders. "You didn't tell me you worked here!"

"You didn't tell me you were going to work here!" There was a small silence.

"Hey, y'know." Tess took a step closer to Jen, which brought them close enough so that they could feel each other's breath on their faces. "Now that we work together, we could see a lot more of each other."

Tess's hand slid up the blonde's arm.

"We can't. Look, you're hot. But I have a rule that I don't date people at work."

"Right, well. My apologies." Tess all of a sudden went cold, and turned to leave.

"But, y'know." Jen placed a hand on the door, blocking Tess from leaving. "We could, try the friends with benefits thing?"

Tess bit her lip, considering what Jen had said.

Jen was suddenly pushed up against the cabinet, strong hands on her waist, moving to her wrists and pushing them above her head and holding them there as their lips met fiercely.

Saturday Night...

Jen was at the gay bar, drinking alone.

"Hey. Can I buy you a drink?" A hot blonde asked next to her.

"I'm sorry. I'm drinking alone tonight." Jen answered before looking up at the woman next to her. "Whoa."

"What?"

Jen cleared her throat. "You're really hot."

"Well in that case, you have to let me buy you a drink."

Jen bit her lip, the woman sliding a hand over her knee. "I do have a rule that only hot women get to but me a drink. But she has to tell me her name first."

"Tess. And you are?"

"I'm Jen."

Tess ordered her a vodka tonic, and they drank together for a bit, before Jen called a cab to take them home.

Jen jumped out of the taxi. "Ok, well this is me."

Tess stopped her from closing the door. "Call me."

Jen hesitated before offering. "Do you want to come in?"

"I'd love to." Tess instantly jumped out of the taxi, paying the cab driver.
