In the Western Lands in the meanwhile, within the western mountain lands, there was a tribe known as the Western Wolf Tribe. A tribe which Ayame was born into. Now Ayame was a girl with the strength, heart, and courage of a Celtic/Viking/Samoan/ Persian/ Roman warrior. She never ran away from a battle and grew cocky each time she bounced back from a severe beating.

When it came time to find a mate worthy of her presence and worthy to her tribe, Ayame traveled the world to find that someone who would complete her. Challenge her. Push her to limits she never knew she had. And beyond. Sadly...Ayame didn't find that specific person. Nowhere on her journey. Saved one. But he was already spoken for by a mysterious goddess named Mars, the goddess of planet mars. When Ayame arrived in Japan, she encountered a man from the eastern wolf tribe. Koga was his name. And with him were his comrades, Ginta and Hakkaku. Koga was the leader of the eastern wolf tribe, cocky and abrasive, he cared nothing about those he hurt. Highly impulsive and even considered Ayame a "waste of his time", this caused Ayame to flip off Koga and find someone who understood her. Relate to her. Build a foundation that could never be destroyed with her.

Look no further to her encounter with Team Inuyasha, who around this moment in time, discovered that Naraku had found Kikyo and was willing to work together with the man in order to destroy Inuyasha in every general aspect imaginable.

Prior to Ayame meeting Team Inuyasha, Team Inuyasha were caught in a trance-like-illusion that was made up by Kikyo, who literally agreed to team up with Naraku after Naraku found her. Kikyo intended to use her new abilities to create this illusion trance loop to steal the Shikon No Tama that was sealed within Kagome. With two Shikons, one being infused with Kikyo and the other in its purest form, Naraku would become the most powerful being in all feudal Japan.

The reason why this did not happen was due to Inuyasha shattering the Shikon in two with his Tessaiga, having enough of Kikyo toying with his emotions and trying to destroy the second chance he was given with a new family that cared deeply about him in all aspects. The Jewel of power broke in two and sent a shockwave that hurled Naraku/Kikyo, Team Inuyasha, away from another. Now the Jewel which was whole was now broken in two halves. One half in the possession of Team Inuyasha. The other half was in the possession of Naraku and Kikyo.

[Pit Stop...Location...The Inner Woods...]

Ayame, after taking everything in that was told to her by Inuyasha and company: "Wow. I am so sorry that happened."

Inuyasha sighed: "It's not your fault Ayame. To be honest, I dunno why we're telling you this. Considering that you have your own cross to bear."

Yoshua: "I suppose it's Ayame's spirit. It is very calming."

Ayame: "Um...Thanks?"

"Anyways, that's our story." Koshawn told Ayame. "Now you told us that you were looking for a mate worthy of you in every aspect right?" Ayame nods. "Cool. I have just the person-"

Yoshua: "Flattered. But I can't. I think I'll stay single for the time being."

Koshawn: "...Yoshua...I was thinking about nominating Inuyasha for Ayame's affections."

"Oh..." Yoshua chuckled nervously. "How awkward."

"I dunno if I can fall in love again." Inuyasha told Koshawn. "I mean...I still haven't healed from Kikyo and what she's done to me. Then and now."
