Take Me Away (Demigod Story)

I hate my life.

I hadn't updated in a long while, for about a month, but that is because I couldn't figure out how to tell the story without boring everyone to death. So I will do my best to finish it within the next few days because my story isn't that long.

*Continuing with the story*

"Alright, so we're going to Camp Half-Blood," I thought out loud. I heard Katrina attempt to hold back a laugh and I turned to look at her. "What?"

"It's just-" she started, but couldn't manage to do anything but laugh. Cory joined in on the laughing, my attention turned to him.

"What the heck is you guy's problem?" I asked, it came out almost like a growl.

"Okay," Katrina breathed, trying to catch her breath. "Okay, okay. It's just, Camp Half-Blood doesn't exist."

"What?!" I asked in bewilderment. "Then, what about...and the-"

"But Camp Demigod does," Cole interrupted.

"Honestly, why on earth would we publish such secrets?" Katrina explained. "Gods, we don't even live on Long Island!"

I stayed quiet for a moment as I processed what they were saying. "Then where do you guys live?"

"On Rhode Island of course! It's close...sort of," Cole interjected.

"The book is a pure pun! People think that New York City is called 'The Big Apple' because of some horse race. It's actually because camp used to be located there before it got too crowded and camp had a huge apple farm," Katrina told me, her tone was giggly.

"And, the camp still does. It's funded by the new apple farm," Cole said.

"While the rest is just a bunch of gender-bend joy. Except for Taylor. I mean, you'd know Taylor as 'Thalia Grace' if you'd read the series. Rebecca is also an exception, the author made up the romance between her and the gender-bend version of Jillion. I mean, Rebeccagx is 'Reyna' and Jillion is 'Jason'. Am I forgetting anything?" Katrina asked Cole.

"All of the huntresses, of course, are female. And Nico is a guy. It's just that when Rick found out that he like Pearl, aka Percy, then he decided that he must include that and so many people think that Nico is gay but really he's bi."

"Because Will Solace is still a guy, so yeah," Katrina added, her eyes seemed to darken a little.

"Seriously? Why go through all of that trouble just for that?" I asked.

"If we just told the entire world the names of our heroes, how would anyone be able to get around without being noticed? No one would be able to! Besides, then all of the monsters would know their weaknesses so they could kill them," Katrina explained as though it was obvious.

"So, all of that stuff online-"

"Some of it is made up, yes. But most of it...is just a glorified version of the truth," Cole told me. "You see, there are campers in the Hermes cabin that have never been claimed and they're fifteen. When they get too hung up on that, they start writing a story about what they think will happen, or what they hope will happen."

"Which includes the love stories of dating Nico. Nico...he's taken...but that doesn't mean that girls can't like him. I'm just saying that those are either old stories or made-up by some of his fangirls," Katrina told me, she seemed to be unenthusiastic about explaining that part. "Anyway, the whole camp is in on the joke so they go along with 'Percy Jackson' and 'Annabeth Chase'. It's against the rules for any camper to release the information to outsiders."

I nodded. "So, who do you guys think my parent is?"

"Well, there was a prophecy about a child of Zeus, and he or she were supposed to save the world," Cory started.
