The Universe.

Multiple theories of how and why it came into being exist; but there is one widely accepted universally- a concept present by a member of a certain inter-galactic society comprising of the universe's most distinguished minds.

From the "Endless sea of unfathomable depths and boundaries", now known as the Sea of Quanta, raised the Imaginary Tree. Being the two only living (?) beings in the universe, they supposedly established a never-ending rivalry, with the Sea Of Quanta trying to drown the tree, and The Imaginary Tree wanting to absorb the sea.

Due to absorbing the Sea of The Quanta, the Imaginary Tree continued to grow, and eventually grew branches, and leaves. This, is how worlds came to being. The worlds were the "leaves" of the tree, while in it's branches grew multiple civilizations, and through it's trunk flowed time.

Rivalry between the two steadily persists, proof being the many rising powers that stem everyday, minor or major.

One such very known concept remains that of 'Supreme beings', or what we know as 'Aeons'. They stem from the Imaginary powers of the tree. They construct realities, erase stars and leave their marks upon numerous planets as a proof of their unfathomable powers and unprecedented cognition. Higher-dimensional beings, they are something we can't physically perceive.

These 'Aeons', they walk a certain 'Path'. Paths are nothing but a congregation of the imaginary energy, born as manifestations of universally-known and accepted philosophical concepts. When an Aeon is birthed, they are given a certain path to follow. However, another way to essentially become an Aeon would be to entirely immerse oneself in the concept of of that certain philosophy, allowing to gain higher understanding[unchecked.].

Aeons are extremely mysterious, per say. Most Aeons tend to remain vastly distant from amy from of communication, but some like to involve themeselves with the worlds-negative or positive. Aeons come of many concepts after all, and not all of them are exactly, pure, let's say. Their intentions remain unclear. However, these interactions give rise to a principal factor. Pathstriders, and Emanators.

To walk the same path and belief an Aeon is, if one is fortunate enough, one will be granted with powers from that certain path. Considered as a 'gift' to their pathstriders from the Aeons. Adversely, to those who gain power directly from the Aeon themselves, are emanators. They possess high power and authority.

Another important note to add here will be that, contrary to popular belief, an Aeon is not immortal. It is the principle of the vast cosmos that if one has a beginning, one must have an end. Aeons can be consumed by Aeons of similar, but a higher concept of the same category[check: Ena 'The Order' and Xipe 'The Harmony']. Aeons, under rare circumstances, might kill each other, causing wide-spread destruction in the process[check: Swarm Disaster.].
