After several minutes of preparing the breakfast feat for the crews, the air in the kitchen is thick with the aroma of coffee and the sizzle of bacon as Buggy, the flamboyant captain, prepares to make his grand entrance.
The creaky doors swing open with a dramatic flair, revealing the silhouette of Buggy frames by the golden light. His oversized, feathered hat teeters dangerously on his head, threatening to fall, but Buggy skilfully adjusts it with a flourish. With a burst of energy, he steps into the room, his vibrant coat billowing like a flag in the wind.
"Good morning, my loyal crew!" His voice booms, echoing off the wooden walls.
Buggy's arms stretch wide and the crew look up from their various tasks, greeted by the spectacle of their captain's entrance. A chorus of cheers and chuckles erupt, the infectious energy of the moment lifting the spirits of even the most grizzled crew member.
Buggy soaks in the adoration of his crew before he strolls further into the room. It was a daily ritual, but each time he managed to inject a fresh dose of enthusiasm into the hearts of his loyal followers.
As Buggy continues his charismatic stroll into the bustling kitchen, his eyes lock on Claire. Holding a plate in her hands. Her hair was neatly tied back in a practical ponytail, emphasizing the focused expression on her face. The usual gleam of mischief in Buggy's eyes flickers momentarily as he spots her.
"Ah, Claire, good to see you," Buggy exclaims, his approach marked by theatrical flourishes. "I thought that I'd find you here. I-" He abruptly halts mid-sentence, the enticing aroma of fired sausages wafting through the air seizing his attention.
His eyes drop to the plate in Claire's hands, momentarily betraying a more vulnerable side of the flamboyant captain as his eyes soften even slightly, as he hopes this prepared dish might be for him.
Claire, quick to notice the shift in Buggy's demeanor, feels the urge to break the sudden silence. "I know you usually have Ray handle your breakfast," she begins her voice gentle. Before she could continue, Buggy, with a nonchalant air, crossed his arms and shifted his weight, an annoyed smirk playing on his lips. "Already on a first-name basis, I see."
Claire responds with a subtle eye roll, choosing to ignore his comment. "I took the liberty to make something for you," she explains, placing the plate with a warm breakfast closer to him. The gesture was clear – she wanted him to take it.
However, Buggy remains transfixed, his gaze fixed on the offered meal as if it holds the secrets of the Grand Line.
The kitchen hums with the sound of sizzling pans and clattering utensils, but a tense pause lingers between Buggy and Claire. The crew, ever observant of their captain's antics, discreetly exchanged glances, anticipating the unfolding drama in their daily pirate spectacle.
But the blue-haired man neither moves nor speaks, engrossed in the plate held by Claire. No, not the plate but her hand... to be more specific a golden necklace wrapped around her wrist.
Suddenly, Buggy starts to hear something. It starts as a quiet sound in the background of all the other sounds surrounding him but quickly grows louder until it almost drowns out everything else, captivating him completely: The contagious laughter of the very person right in front of him he once shared simpler times with.
"Shanks, stop it!" Claire exclaimed, her young voice piercing through the night air right before she playfully shoved the red boy. It was one of those legendary nights, a celebration on Roger's ship. Seeking a bit more privacy, Buggy, Claire, and Shanks had found themselves a spot on the deck.
Buggy, his expression momentarily softened, took a sip from his mug, glaring at Shanks with mock annoyance. "Can't you tell a story without being so obnoxious?" he grumbled, but his grumpy façade couldn't hide the twinkle in his eyes.
