Buggy's frustration grows as he continues to pound on the unyielding closet door. "Come on, open up, you piece of junk!" he mutters under his breath, his impatience evident in his tense posture.
For a brief moment, he stops only to glance around the space, searching for a tool or anything theat might help him force the door open, before returning to the common practice of kicking the wooden door until his big toe hurts.
Meanwhile, Claire takes a different approach.
Instead of resorting to brute force, she remains calm and observant. Her keen eyes analyze the closet's structure, looking for subtle details that might reveal a hidden latch or mechanism. She even dares to step closer right next to Buggy to run her fingers along the seams, feeling for any irregularities or anomalies.
Buggy, grows increasingly frustrated and eventually, it boils over and he points an accusatory finger at Claire. "This is all your fault!"
Clair, taken aback, defends herself, "My fault? You were the one who pushed me against the closet door!" she stops searching for a way out, noticing that there is nothing that could help him. "We wouldn't be stuck in here if you had kept your distance."
Buggy scoffs, "If you didn't go into my cabin to steal my map, we wouldn't be in this mess!"
Claire rolls her eyes at him and even crosses her arms, unyielding. "Maybe if you weren't such a pain in the ass to travel with, I wouldn't resort to such extreme measures." Claire feels how her anger rises with each passing second and she tries to calm herself down by taking a deep breath, trying to maintain her composure.
"I'm the pain in the ass?" Buggy asks rhetorically with a mocking tone of voice. "You're the pain in the ass! Always have been and always will be!" he points at Claire with intensity, making his stance clear.
Claire's eyes narrow, a fire in her voice. "Excuse me? If I remember correctly you're the reckless and irresponsible one, always causing trouble and needing me to solve your problems."
Buggy clenches his fists, his anger escalating. "At least I'm authentic and don't pretend to be some genius strategist, who had it all figured out!" Claire sucks in her breath, not allowing him to see that he had struck a nerve with that comment.
"I'd rather be a strategist than a mindless brute," she shoots back, "And if you had half a brain, you'd realize that this mess is entirely you're doing and I'm not only talking about us being stuck in your fucking closet!"
As the verbal sparring reaches it's high, Buggy's temper flares uncontrollably. In a fit of rage, he shoves Claire against the closet wall. "You think you're so smart, huh?" he sneers, his frustration manifesting in a burst of physical aggression. "If you're so smart, how come you fail to acknowledge your own mistakes?"
In a sudden burst of strength, Claire manages to shove Buggy away, breaking free from his close interrogation. "Enough! You don't know what you're talking about!"
"I'm not?" He laughs mockingly. "You're the one who broke the promise twenty years ago, setting all of this into motion! You left! This wasn't how things should have turned out, Claire!"
Claire's jaw clenches as the painful memories resurface. "I didn't leave. You did!"
She recalls the day vividly, the weight of the past pressing down on her. Tears well up in her eyes, but she holds them back, refusing to let vulnerability weaken her resolve. "Shanks and I waited for you! We made a promise to travel together, explore the seas as a trio, but you never came!"
Buggy, though defensive, feels the weight of Claire's accusation. "We wanted to sail to Laugh Tale," he recalls a hint of bitterness in his voice. "But when things got serious, Shanks didn't want to follow through."
