Chapter 4

Affandi Villa:

Izzah was engulfed in reading the novel which she succeeded in hiding from her mother after being grounded by Agha Jaan. When Mir Affandi came to know about her grand daughter failure, he was furious. He decided not to let Izzah go to university anymore. It was not like he was against women education but Izzah was not studying there instead she was getting bold day by day and all she do was to taught her mother some stupid women rights. Mir Affandi was a manly type of person who did not like the foul language and rudeness of women especially in his own house and that was the reason he decided to choose Zainab as his daughter in law going against his own son. He didn’t want some working woman to rule over his son and his house. He don’t like dominance over him and now Izzah turning into that kind of girl wasn’t going well with him.

When he delivered his verdict about Izzah to Mrs Zainab, she begged him to change his decision. She didn’t want her daughter to live a life like her. She knew that Izzah wasn’t serious about her studies but she was sure that she would convince her.

And God knows after how much persuasion Agha Jaan agreed and decided to ground her for a week.

And here Izzah didn’t care about being grounded at all because she knew she could sneak out easily or atleast would compensate her mother with puppy eyes.

“That’s not fair…you are the one who failed then why I am being grounded too? I didn’t fail my exams.” Ainy was not happy at all with her grandfather. It was always this way, whenever Izzah commits a mistake, she also has to suffer whether it is her fault or not. But she couldn’t stay angry because she knew that it was not Izzah fault either that Agha Jaan grounded her too.

“Don’t worry sis….I will not leave you alone in this prison. We’ll sneak out together.” Izzah said eying her sister lovingly. She felt guilty for Ainy because she knew her sister’s craziness for education.

Ainy’s eyes widened at that. She didn’t expect Izzah to act recklessly again and that too when Agha Jaan was home.

“Don’t you dare Izzah …” She warned the elder but can Izzah be Izzah if she is reasonable?

“Why? ….I want to go to my friend’s birthday party.” She was still adment.

“As much as your mind runs in these myths, how good it would be if it runs for study as well.” Ainy was fed up with her stubbornness.

“What an ungrateful brat you are. Here I am planning for us to enjoy and you are making this face with me.” She glared at Ainy.

He was waiting outside in his car while staring at their picture which they took together back then enjoying their moment.

He was so in love with her. It was love at first sight. His heart didn’t beat like this before. He had seen many beautiful girls in his life but always avoided them because he knew that he was committed to someone else but when his eyes fell on her, he couldn’t control himself.

He was in his thoughts when someone opened the car door and get inside. Her sweet fragrance filled in the car and his nostrils. He smiled because he was aware of that fragrance. His looked at the girl beside him with so much love.

“ I missed you.” She said sweetly with her honey filled voice.

“Not more than me.” His reply made her giggle in amusement.

A sudden guilt filled his heart looking at her innocent face and his smile faded recalling his lies.
