♡ Caregiver Alastor x Little Husker ♡
♡ Playtime and Bedtime Stories ♡
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~🎀~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alastor has been taking care of Husk all day, and he was getting tired. It was only 5 pm at night, and he was already even more exhausted than when he got up. Husker could sometimes be a little much when he was little. He could either be the chillest keep to himself kid ever, or extremely hyper. Today, he was unfortunately hyper.When Huskers first option for a caregiver was Alastor, Alastor was a bit shocked that he was first pick. He'd always been good with kids though, and in his eyes if Husker was an age regressor, then he is a child when in little space no matter what anyone says. And he was right, he most definitely was a child when in little space. So he agreed to being his caregiver, and genuinely didn't mind it. One thing surprising about Alastor having Huskers soul is that Alastor was always lenient on him. If he wasn't, then Husk wouldn't be alive right now. But he was especially more soft and lenient on him when he was in little space for obvious reasons.
Husker was stuck to Al like glue, and Alastor spent half the day playing toys and watching movies with Husk. He didn't mind it, Al adored being around the kid. But Huskers hyper energy was exhausting sometimes. He even at one point that day dragged Alastor outside with him to play pirates together.
Alastor loved the little guy to death, but he felt drained today ever since he had woken up. And he didn't know why.
Right now, Alastor was playing trains in the main living room area, and he realized it was getting close to dinner time. "Ok little one, lets clean up." He picked up Husk, cradling him. "Noo.." He whined, digging his face into Alastors chest. Alastors smile was faltering.
"Listen my little star, I know you wanna keep playing. But your fathers gotta make dinner." Al shushed him. "But.." Husker sounded really disappointed, but didn't wanna make his papa upset. He clung to Alastor hugging him as he was cradled. "I'm sorry, little one.. Come on, help your papa clean up." He set Husk down, and got to work.
Husker pouted, ears drooped down to his head, and wings folded tightly. "A little longer?.." He begged his caregiver. The buck stopped what he was doing to look him him trying to maintain his smile. He was exhausted and drained the moment he woke up, and he was not about to take it out on Husk because it was one of his little hyper days, and was a bit more to handle than usual.
"No, Husker. I've got to make dinner." He said sternly. Husk frowned, and got up to help clean the mess of toys and pillows.
Alastor picked up Husker after everything was organized, and carried him to the kitchen with him.
Alastor set him down and scratched Huskers chin, causing him to purr. Alastor was in aw. "Ok, be good Husker. I'm going to make dinner real quick for everyone." Husk nodded at the request, and watched Alastor do his work.
Alastor was stirring the chili, and Husker peeked up over the counter to watch, knees bent to be smaller. Alastor turned to look at him, and scratched behind his ears. Husker leaned into Alastors touch, feeling less upset now than he was before. His mood could change quick sometimes to Alastors surprise.
After Alastor cleaned up the dinner table and kitchen, he picked up Husker to give him a bath. Husk did try and resist, but Al summoned his shadows to help push the little guy into the water so that he could clean him.This didn't make Husk happy at all, but he cooperated nonetheless. He did Not feel like being pushed into water by a bunch of shadows again.
Once he was bathed and clean, Alastor picked him up out of the tub, and dried him off. He put Husk in this crimson red onesie with black stars all over it.
Husker yawned, and threw himself onto Al as arms wrapped around to hold him. "You getting tired, little sunshine?" Husker nodded groggily. "Alright, lets get you to bed." He picked up Husker, and turned off the bathroom light.
He threw the dirty towels in the wash, and took the elevator upstairs, Husk still in his arms. As they were approaching Husks room, Husk tugged on Al's arm. Alastor looked down at him, retracting a hand from the doorknob. "Yes, dearest?" Alastor asked, taking his left hand to pet Husk while his right still held him close. "Please stay with me tonight?.." Alastor raised an eyebrow, why would Husk want him to stay this time?
This only happens when someone watched a horror movie in front of him, or he just saw something that scared him. But he was completely fine all day today.
"May I ask why dear?" Husker lowered his head and shook it as if to say 'no'. Alastors head tilted, he was utterly confused. "Dearest, you can tell me anything." He moved his hand from Huskers head to his ear.
Husk looked at the ground, clearly debating something. His paws squeezed tighter onto Al's crimson coat. "I dunno.. I just don't want you to leave yet.." Huskers ears flew down a bit embarrassed. Alastor looked at him, smile growing wider. "How about I stay with you until you fall asleep? Is that ok with you, my little star?" He booped Huskers nose, Husk nodded his head in agreement.
Alastor opened the door to his room, and tucked him into his bed. Alastor was sat on the edge, legs crossed.
"Can you read me bedtime story?.." Alastor thought about it for a moment before he finally agreed. "Alright dear, but then its bedtime." He got up, and went to grab a book from Huskers little space drawer. Alastor grabbed the first book he found, 'The Princess and the Frog'. He bought Husker this a week after he found out he was a little, just as a small gift for him.
He sat back down on the bed, opening the book to start reading. As he was reading, he moved to lay next to Husker. Husker was cuddled up onto Alastor, and though Alastor wasn't a fan of people touching him and quite frankly hated it when he was touched, he still allowed it.
As he read to him, Husk cuddled up closer, letting out a big yawn. Alastor looked over to him, noticing he was drifting away from reality but trying his hardest to stay awake. Al stopped reading, and put the book down. He started petting Husk again, listening to his soft purring. "I think it's time to go to sleep now, dear." He scratched behind his ears and the top of his nose.
Continuing to purr, Husk slowly slipped into dream land, snoring quietly. Alastor tucked him in again fixing the blankets as he got up, and put the book away. He quietly turned the lights off, and wished Husk a 'goodnight'. He closed Husks door, careful not to wake him. Sometimes Alastor wondered how this man used to be an overlord with how soft he can be. But that was to figure out another day.
