Lieutenant Pine strutted into Tim Bradford's office with important business to discuss. He was hunched over reviewing paperwork, but she decided to speak before truly getting his attention, "Listen, Bradford, I've got a kinda weird assignment for you, but with your UC experience, I think you can handle it."

Tim looked up from the files on his desk to give her his undivided attention.

"You've heard of Leo Rasmussen, right?" She asked.

"An arms dealer that smuggles some serious weaponry into L.A. We've been trying to catch him for years," he recited all he had been briefed about.

"Metro, ATF, FBI...we'll all been trying to catch him, but we've barely gotten whispers of intel. None of our UCs have been successful in infiltrating. This guy is a smart criminal, and I hate smart criminals."

"So, what do you want me to do?"

"One of the whispers of intel we've gotten is that he'll be at the Watercress Hotel tonight to meet with someone that he wants to broker a deal with. Apparently, Rasmussen is a big gambler, and there's some sort of casino night at the hotel that's supposedly for charity. I need you to go undercover and see if you can pick up on any details about the deal."

"Sure." It seemed like a simple enough undercover operation; he would just have to let Lucy know about the change to his evening's plans.

"You'll need backup. I would send you in with Mad Dog, since he used to work in Vice undercover, but he's been pulling a lot of overtime. Can you pick another officer to go under with you?"

He was quick to volunteer, "Officer Chen has a lot of experience with undercover."

"Your girlfriend? Why am I not surprised," she scoffed sarcastically.

"Our relationship won't get in the way of this operation," Tim puffed out his chest and said protectively.

"I'm aware. You two make a good team. Go grab her, so I can brief you both together about what you need to do," Pine directed and briskly left his office.

Tim texted Lucy to return to the station, and he waited at the sallyport for her to arrive.

"Hey," Lucy said warmly at the sight of him.

"I've got an undercover op for you," he replied. He was aware of her love for undercover work and was happy to provide her with a short term opportunity that would still ensure she went to sleep next to him.

Her eyes widened and a smile began to play at her lips. She was, of course, intrigued. "Tell me everything."

"Pine's briefing us together in her office. Come on." He jerked his head in the direction of the stairs to go up to the second level where Pine's office was.

As they walked down the corridor, Lucy brushed the back of her hand across his. They turned down a more private hallway, and she slowed her pace as she whispered, "I missed you last night."

"Sometimes I work late. Comes with the gig," he murmured.

"Well, that bed feels awfully big without you."

"I'll be home tonight. Promise."

"Good. You owe me an orgasm."

He stopped walking as his cheeks began to redden. Tim checked his surroundings, and thankfully they were alone. "I...what?"

"You shooed me out of your office yesterday before anything could happen, and you promised you'd take care of me when you got home, and then you DIDN'T. I have NEEDS, Tim." She knew she could not keep the desperation out of her voice, but she was also aware how much he liked to hear how badly she wanted him.
