A story in 5 acts

Act 5. Orchestral suite No.3 in D minor.

“Ruan Mei, what is this?” Ratio looked at the girl and took her wrist.
“This? Declaration of love. Do not you like it? Today is February 14th, why not have a romantic evening?” Her heart was beating wildly when she said these words.
“Ok, I will go. But don't write such nonsense anymore. I don’t like this,” he pricked the girl, which is why she shrugged and turned away.
The paleness on the scientist's face was a sign that she understood and realized that she had fallen in love during this period of time with this damn egoist.
“Fuck, are you listening to me?” He looked at the girl and turned her to face him.
“Ah? Yes, I’m listening,” she raised her gaze to him.
“You're all pale, what happened?”
“It’s a little cold, probably I’m sick. I'll get better, look, I don't get sick myself.”
Ratio ignored all her words after “I’m sick.” He took her hands in his and began to warm them. Sometimes the man would pull away to kiss Ruan Mei's cheeks. What she definitely didn't expect was that he would pick her up and carry her into the room to warm her up.
“You shouldn’t…”
“Shut up, idiot. If you didn't strain yourself many times, you wouldn't get sick.”
She didn’t get sick, she just realized something unbearable. Love. This is how she comes. Suddenly. And everything seemed to be fine, but you didn’t notice it right away? The scientist closed her eyes and turned away.
“Get some sleep,” he stroked her head while she lay in bed.
All that was left to do was pretend to be asleep so he could go about his business.
Ratio leaned towards her again and kissed her forehead. Cold.
“Wait, I’ll get the first aid kit now.”
He takes out the first aid kit and leaves.
He stayed. She did not hear the door opening and closing after he took out the first aid kit. He is here. My heart started beating wildly.
“Get well and we'll go on a date.”
“I love you...” she muttered. My hands grew even colder, because the outcome could have been anything.
“I love you too, but first you need to rest.”
The heart stopped shrinking to the size of a point in the Universe. Her eyes widened, and then she jumped up to find out if it was really Ratio. He pushed her back onto the bed.
“Lie down, first you will rest and gain strength, then everything else.”
At that moment, she was already going crazy about what was happening between them.
“Ratio, thank you,” she smiled at him and closed her eyes.
“Nothing to thank, dumbass,” he ran his fingers through her hair.
While she was resting and sleeping, the doctor sat in the room and made sure that his beloved did not get sick. He said it so easily, as if all this time he had not been the one who wanted to hear these words.
His heart was no longer beating wildly, because an hour had passed since that moment, but the sensations were simply excellent from mutual love. He had never felt this way. Never before. But now she appeared in his life, Ruan Mei, his beloved, a girl who forced him to put aside his ice and start giving warmth.
The said date awaits them this evening, which, of course, was arranged by Gerta. And who knew from the beginning how this experiment would end.

“How many children would you like?”
“One.”
“Me too. And a girl or a boy? I want a son.”
“And I want a daughter.”
