Izuku's POV:
I sat down beside Kaiya, handing him a cold bottle of water, wiping a bit of sweat off my forehead.
He sighed, gratefully taking it. "Thank you."
We'd been training for a little less than two hours, and in that time, Kaiya managed to refine his swordsmanship technique, along with his breathing techniques. It's clear to me that he had already begun his physical training a while ago, but never got the chance to apply anything to his swordsmanship.
If anything, it also helped me practice the basics as well. It isn't something I had put much thought or attention to for a while.
"Izuku?" Kaiya spoke up, head down and gaze glued to the ground below.
"Yeah?"
"Why were you so quick to help me? To help train me? We never really talked before this, so..." he said, taking another sip of water.
I shrugged. "You seemed like you needed help, so... I wanted to help," I explained simply. There wasn't much else to it. It's just something that I wanted to do at the moment, and so... I did it.
Kaiya frowned, flicking his gaze to me. "I'm sure you were going to do something else. So why even bother? Someone else probably would've come around to..." he said, a slight bitter tone to his voice.
I was quick to answer. "I figured that you wouldn't really want to talk to anyone after what—" I shook my head. "I um... know how it feels to lose someone really close to you. Usually, you don't want to interact with others and want to keep to yourself. You don't want anyone else's help."
I turned to him, meeting his gaze.
"I doubt you'd want to interact with any demon slayers after what happened, but I figured I'd have a better chance since we're the same age," I said. "Guess I was right."
"Guess so."
"I just wish father had—" Kaiya shook his head, cutting himself off. "Nevermind."
Silence overtook the both of us for whole full minute before Kaiya spoke up again.
"Hey, Izuku... do you think that you could maybe—"

"Omni-Hashira, Izuku Midoriya, you're being called to Hokkaido to begin watch over the region."
"Huh?"
"Already?! It was supposed to happen in a few days, not today," I said, sighing dramatically as I rose to my feet.
"Guess they had to change it up," Kaiya said.
I sheathed my katana. "Yeah."
"If you keep training, you'll definitely reach the same heights as Oyakata-sama. I can guarantee that."

Mitsuki's POV:
"You can't be serious!"
I gritted my teeth together, head throbbing with anger as I shouted into the phone.
My grip on the cellphone on increased more and more, to the point where a thin crack formed along the phone screen.
"What the hell have you officers been doing? You think I'm just going to accept that?!"
"Ma'am please, we've done everything we could. I understand this information is not what you wanted to hear, but the fact remains that your son was caught on city cameras being chased down by those creatures. We've searched extensively for Katsuki Bakugo, but if he was caught by those... things then... I am afraid there may not even be a body to find."
