PROLOGUE-CHAPTER 4: The mines

Now, we were running after Grim, in the direction of the cafeteria. Once we entered the large room, we all stopped, Yuu and Ace panting slightly and me and Deuce looking at Grim.

"Argh! Stop jumping around like that!" Ace screamed after he stopped panting. "Heh heh heh! Catch me if you can!" Grim taunted once again. If I used my quirk, he would already be down, probably knocked out. "No fair climbing up onto the chandelier, you coward!" I mean, pretty sure he doesn't wanna get caught. Although running to the punishment was probably not the smartest idea, even for Grim. "I haven't really learned flight magic yet... What could I summon to hold onto him...? Hmmm... Oh! That's it!" And, that's when I got scared and reconsidered hiding the existence of my quirk. I was internally panicking, while thinking about what could happen if I didn't use my quirk right now. "Did you come up with somethi- Oh, hey! Stop! What are you doing?!" Ace questioned turning around to see Deuce pointing the pen at him, not really intimidating, unless you know it's a magic pen. "Why are you pointing your pen at me?!" He was definitely scared at the navy haired boy's actions. 'Scaredy cat'.

"Because I'm going to launch you." Deuce said that in such a calm tone, it's terrifying how he doesn't even realise how bad that could go for all of us. "No way does this end well." I'm glad hearing those two idiots talk hasn't changed how smart Yuu is... Before any of us could protest, Ace was already feet off the ground. "Are you kidding me?! Bwaaah! Put me down! Seriously, do not launch me! Abort! ABORT!" Of course, Deuce ignored the red head's protest and kept up with his plan.

"Just make sure to grab him tight. I've got him in my sights, and... Go!" And just like that, Ace was sent flying in Grim's direction Ace screaming and Grim returning the fear as he saw Ace getting closer to him at incredible speed. "BWAAAAAAAH!" "MYAAAAAAAAH?!" The screaming stopped with a loud thud I noticed the chandelier swinging from side to side violently before the hook that was holding the chandelier up broke, making the chandelier fall to the ground, breaking from the fall. Yuu was quick to wrap his arms around me in a protective manner shielding me from the flying, broken parts of the chandelier.

Yuu, Deuce and I were far enough from the center of the room so we didn't get too much debris in our faces and could see really well after a few seconds. "The chandelier!!!" Yuu exclaimed after realizing it was completely broke, on the ground. "*Cough* *Cough* *Hack* I cannot believe you just did that!" Ace said, trying to breath normally, he caught his breathe quickly, "Myaaah..." while Grim was in a daze, probably seeing stars and birds floating around his head.

"Oh, right! I probably should have come up with a way to soften your landing after you caught him..." Deuce said, realizing his mistake. "That's what we tried to tell you." I spoke up getting the attention on me, but Ace turned his gaze away from me rapidly in order to scold Deuce, "You complete and total moron! We got Grim, but we broke the chandelier! If the headmage finds out about this-" The red head started panicking. "If I find out about... what, dear Ace?" The headmage spoke from behind us, making Deuce, Ace and Yuu obviously tense up, I just turned my head towards Crowley, I've done worse than that in my world, like rescue Kacchan even though we were told not to...

"Ah! Headmage Crowley...!" The ginger exclaimed at Crowley's voice. "YOU. THREE. AGAIN. What have you done this time?!" The said three being Yuu, Ace and Grim obviously, Ace and Yuu looked down because of the trouble they were in and Grim..."Myaaah... Everything's spinning..." Yeah, he was still in a daze. "Burning a statue wasn't enough for you? Now you've destroyed a chandelier?! Enough. You three are expelled." The headmage informed, angered, pointing at Grim, Ace and Deuce... Poor Deuce, he didn't even do anything, he just happened to be caught up into this mess.

"Whaaaaaaaaat?!" Ace and Deuce screamed at the same time. "Headmage, please! Give me a second chance! I can't get expelled from this school! I need to be here!" Deuce was trying to negotiate with the Headmage, I mean, it wasn't completely his fault, if I had used my quirk, he wouldn't be in trouble... "Then blame yourself for your own foolish behavior." Can't really disagree, it was foolish for him to launch Ace towards Grim, but he's not really to blame. "I'll pay for the damages! However much it costs!" He definitely can't afford it... "That chandelier is no mere light fixture.It is magical chandelier. Its candles are powered by a magical energy source, enchanted so that they will burn for eternity. It was created for us by a legendary artificer. Possibly their finest creation. It has been here since the school was established, and I imagined it would be here forevermore. Considering its historical value, I would estimate its worth to be no less than a billion thaumarks. And you intend to repay that sum?" Thaumarks must me their currency. I wonder how much it's in Yen.
