(At Zeno's Palace, Whis and the Grand Minister continue their conversation)
Grand Minister: I dispatched my Angel trainee, Merus, to the 7th so that he may learn about the way of things and broaden his perspective.
Whis: Indeed.
Grand Minister: We angels must act impartially. Beyond that single law, there are no restrictions on what we can or cannot do. His enlisting in the Galactic Patrol seemed a decent choice, as it would allow him to observe the side of good and virtue, but, alas...
Whis: He seems to have gained a bias?
Grand Minister: Just so. Any further involvement would make him in violation of our code. I shall have to end Merus's tenure in the mortal realm. As he is pushing the limit...
Whis: Grand Minister. Might you allow me to collect Merus and deal with him on my own?
Grand Minister: Meaning?
Whis: His actions with the Galactic Patrol have been limited to fighting with mortal weapons, he hasn't used his Angel abilities. And at the moment, all he is doing is training Goku and his grandson, Goken... No more than that.
(The Grand Minister sees Merus training with Goku and Goken)
Grand Minister: Yes. It is as you say.
Whis: Even I have taken it upon myself to train mortals.
Grand Minister: Only because you craved the food on Earth.
Whis: (Chuckles) Am I that transparent?
Grand Minister: Very well. He has come perilously close, but he has not yet violated our laws. Go on. I leave Merus in your care.
Whis: Much obliged.
Grand Minister: But do keep a close eye on that one.
Whis: Understood.
Grand Minister: Troublemaker or not, I do not wish to lose an Angel.
(On Planet Yardrat, Irico is in his ship, trying to contact the Galactic Patrol HQ, with no luck)
Irico: Darn... I still can't get a hold of HQ. What's going on out in the galaxy...? I sure hope everyone's okay...
Narrator: Yardrat falls outside of the Galactic Patrol's jurisdiction. With no way to communicate, Irico and Vegeta couldn't receive updates.
Irico: Hmm?
(Irico notices a ship in the sky and recognizes it)
Irico: Wait. That ship...
(Back at the training grounds, Hatsuka hops over to Elder Pybara, while Vegeta and Broly make it back after him and are clearly exhausted from the training)
Pybara: Mm, wonderful spirit power. Your spirit is more polished than Goku's, and you boys managed it in no time.
Broly: All right...
Vegeta: Of course. Kakarot and I are not cut from the same cloth.
Pybara: Now, to begin teaching you our abilities.
Vegeta: At last.
(Pybara places his hands at Vegeta and Broly and heals them both)
Broly: Whoa.
Vegeta: Was that a healing technique?
Hatsuka: One of Elder Pybara's signature moves. Pretty great, huh?
Broly: Yeah, it's pretty great.
Vegeta: And I can learn to perform such a move?
Pybara: (Laughs) Don't get ahead of yourselves. That's high-level stuff and you're not there just yet.
