Metamorphose
Nanami wakes up at 5am, barely even sleeping because of the sudden surge in energy she experienced ever since she was healed.
She runs down and decides to prepare a sumptuous breakfast of handmade udon in curry, even meticulously making an apple and tomato salad for Shoji to enjoy.
Masaru awakens to the appetising aroma of curry, he looks at the time, it's only 6.30 in the morning.
*Well, she's up early*
He makes his way down and is greeted to a table set with two bowls of curry udon.
"Good morning! Come on and have breakfast, and call Shoji down too!"
She shows him the plate of salad she made for Shoji, Masaru is impressed by her renewed spirit.
"Awesome! I'm going to freshen up first. As for Shoji, it'll come down soon enough"
Right then, Shoji comes flying down and perches itself on Nanami's head. They share a laugh before Masaru goes into the bathroom.
Nanami sits down and waits, but she feels like she's going to jump out of her seat, even she's surprised at how much energy she has.
"Hey, Shoji, it seems that you know the green monster. You know, he healed me! And I think his healing me did something to me, I even feel well enough to go to work! And.. I even feel excited?!"
Shoji flies around her, equally excited at seeing his human friend doing better.
"That's great to hear, Nanami!"
Masaru quips as he makes his way to the dining table. Nanami starts talking about her discovery the night prior that her wound had fully healed ever since she met the green monster, even pulling the collar of her shirt down to show that there was absolutely no trace of her even being injured to begin with.
Masaru plays along and shares her excitement. Soon they finish breakfast, and Nanami packs the leftover curry udon for her lunch.
Nanami and Masaru butt heads about doing the dishes again, but this time Masaru relents since Nanami has healed, and he's exhausted from yesterday's battle anyways.
He walks her to the door with Shoji in his hands, they exchange their goodbyes and Masaru opts to spend his day resting and strategising his next moves. He goes up to his room.
He worries about Nanami for a moment before he recalls the fact that he managed to completely shatter the creature's claws, and that even if it were to emerge again, it's claws wouldn't be at the same level of durability nor sharpness. He begins pacing around.
*There's no way the mantis creature would be out either anyways, I managed to break it's claws, and from what I've seen, these creatures definitely don't heal as quickly as Doras did.*
He stops as he begins realising.
*Wait. Now that I think about it, what exactly are these creatures? Are they the remnants of Dr. Mochizuki's experiments? They are definitely more fragile and unstable than the Neonoids I fought before. But there's definitely a link. I'll call them Neo Organisms to distinguish them from Neonoids*
He lays down, but after tossing and turning on his futon, he finds that he couldn't quite rest. He decides to look around the house to find things to do. He spends some time cleaning, doing the laundry before sitting on the sofa and spacing out.
A heavy feeling remains in his heart, he has a bad feeling that something's going to happen to Nanami. The anxiety gets to be too much for him to handle and he rushes out of the house.
