Down Memory Lane

"...So after all that I wandered around, all alone, at least that was until the fateful stormy day we met."

Nanami seems to be worried about something.

"You went through so much, and I understand why you had to leave."

She sits for a moment in silence, deliberating if she should say what she's about to say. Masaru nods and gives her the go-ahead.

"But I wonder how Hiroshi is doing right now? There's no way a kid could handle that much. I mean he isn't alone but only you were with him when all these things that hurt him happened"

Masaru sighs.

"I thought so too throughout my time wandering, and I did think of going back because I missed him, but the wounds are still fresh, it's been months but I doubt I can go back there."

Nanami suddenly stands up and goes up to get something. Masaru watches her go up.

"Wait here, I have an idea"

She comes down with some letter papers, envelopes and some pens.

"Why not write some letters? Maybe you haven't healed enough to return, but I'm sure he'll be happy to recieve letters from you, at least. Besides, you have a home address now, and he can write back!"

Masaru brightens up as he takes the letter writing materials. But shortly after he frowns, not quite knowing what to write. Nanami has finished her late lunch.

"Gosh, this feels like dinner, instead. There's no way I'm eating by dinnertime."

She checks that the additional food they ordered was cooled to room temperature before she places them into the fridge.

Masaru decides he'll start off writing about his adventures so far, he begins writing about the Crab Neo Organism.

He begins getting very engrossed in writing, not even butting heads about clearing the table. Nanami washes the bowls that were given by the restaurant before drying and stacking them up, preparing them to be returned.

Nanami smiles at the sight of him writing.

I wonder if we should visit Hiroshi someday. Masaru really cares about him, it's as if they're really brothers

She sits down at the dining table. She doesn't have to wonder about what he's writing about because she could hear it clear as day.

Crab Neo Organism.. huh, so that's what those things are called, Neo Organisms.

Without anyone to talk to, she gets bored, she decides to play with Shoji before she finally gets an idea. She doesn't even get Shoji off of her head before going up to her room.

She gets the blue gift box of sewing supplies first, and stacks it onto the basket of fabrics and fabric scraps.

She hoists the basket up, initially anticipating that it'd be as heavy as it usually is, only to be surprised by how light it is. She puts it down and checks in case she had run out, but finds that it's still full.
