______________________________School Days- Part 1
Farrah was sitting at her desk, resting her head on the table slowly closing her eyes as a result. The room was silent, the only noise that could be heard was pencils against paper and the teacher occasionally turning the page of his book. Every teenager in the room seemed to be bored out of their mind and the teacher didn't seem to be having too much fun either, he kept yawning every once in awhile.
Gilbert lightly tapped Farrah's shoulder, catching her slightly by surprise. She lifted her head off the desk before looking back and gently smiling at the young man. "Hey.. don't you sit four seats away from me, Gil?" She asked as she rubbed her eyes, trying to refocus. "Yeah.. but not today, we have a sub, or haven't you noticed?" Gilbert asked in response.
The substitute teacher kept to his book so Farrah didn't bother arguing with Gil, she would only argue if there was a chance his actions would get him in trouble or if she had the energy to. She just moved her chair closer to his and leaned into his chest, he didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around her as he softly rubbed her arm. "You're freezing!" He exclaimed then held her tighter. She closed her eyes before saying anything, "I know but I keep forgetting my jacket so I have to fight through it." He sighed then rested his elbow on the table, "Stop being so stubborn and let someone help you more often." Gil whispered to her softly.
Farrah let out an exhausting sigh and closed her eyes, "I would.. if I couldn't handle it myself but I can so no." Gil just continued to let her rest on him as he held her, "What am I going to do with you?"
Suddenly Gil felt a body lean up against his back, bothered he quickly looked to his side only to see Oz. "I'm not a dang pillow.." he muttered angrily but Oz just yawned and shifted his body more to the side with a smirk on his face. "Why does your girlfriend get to do it but not your best friend?" Oz asked still refusing to move.
Gilbert's face immediately turned red, obviously flustered "Sh-she's not my girlfriend!" He yelled. Farrah looked up at him and was about to speak but the substitute teacher spoke first, "Mr. Nightray.. Now, why don't you share what you were saying just a minute ago with the whole class? Since, you know, you feel the need to be so loud." He set his book down on his desk and looked up at Gil.
Gil looked down while all three students sat down at there desks properly. "No sir.. It was just a misunderstanding, I prefer not to speak about it." He said, still refusing to look up directly at the teacher. "Hmm.. Then I expect for this to not happen again, am I right to think that, Mr. Nightray?" The teacher asked with a slight assertiveness. Gil nodded, "Yes sir."
Oz, Farrah, and Gil sat silently at their desks for a few moments till the teacher picked his book back up. Gil let out a sigh of relief and Farrah lightly poked his side to get his attention. He looked over at her with a smile, as usual, "That nearly gave me a heart attack." He chuckled. "Which part? The part where you got called out or the part where Oz called me your girlfriend?" She quietly laughed, trying her best to not lure the teacher's attention back to them.
Gil's face turned a bit red again as he froze for a moment before speaking, "..Both, I'll have to say." He smiled nervously. Farrah chuckled before speaking, "Would being in a relationship with me be that bad?" She asked him, pushing the matter further although she was just trying to tease him. Gil tossed the idea of a relationship around in his head, Farrah was able to tell by the way he looked, he would always have that unsure expression when he thought about something that troubled him. "Its not that.. relationships are just.. how could I put this?.. a bit problematic and it's just something I don't need." He explained to her. Farrah slightly looked away in disappointment, "oh.. I see." She mumbled before smiling again and reaching over to Oz and tapping him on the shoulder.
