Pretty Lies// hyunlix

chapter 26

To say felix didn't cried the whole night would be lie. And even if he denies, his red puffy eyes will tell you the truth.

"Hey lix, aren't you going to be late for uni?" Beomgyu knocked on the door.
But only silence answered him. "Are you even in there?"

"I'm skipping" he heard felix say before he went silent again.

Beomgyu, even if he is a dumb kid, he knows when to leave someone alone because they need some time. And in this case he knew that felix isn't okay something is definitely up but he didn't asked Felix. Cause he knew that felix might need some time alone. And he can invade his personal space in the evening.

With that thought beomgyu left for his university.

Felix heard the door shutting, that means beomgyu is out of the apartment. He turned over facing the ceiling. He stared at it as the silence of the apartment engulfed him. This is it. This is the silence he wanted. Silence and peace.

But suddenly someone started banging on the front door. Felix groaned annoyed. Who could it be? Not any of his or beomgyu's friends they are all in the uni right now. So who could it be? A delivery man? Maybe. But he hadn't ordered anything. Maybe beomgyu did?

But whatever or whoever it is he doesn't care. Because right now he just want to stay in the bed. He pulled the pillow over his ears preventing the sound from entering in it.

After a few minutes he removed the pillow. And silence greeted him again. He sighed in relief. Maybe the person is gone? He relaxed himself on the bed. But then his stomach started growling, and even though  he wanted to ignore it. He can't anymore. He hadn't ate anything from yesterday evening so it's quite valid for the poor organ to start grumbling.

And felix also can't stay forever without eating, can he? He got up the bed. Finally!! "I think I should eat something?" He muttered. He walked out of the door and into the their living room, walking pass it to go to the kitchen. Just as he was passing by the front door he noticed something on the door mat. It looked like a piece of paper? He halted his moves and stared at it. He walked closer and bent down to look clearly and yes it was a piece of paper, folded.

He took the paper in his hands. What could it be? Is it some kind of bill? Or some of a notice? Or maybe....a letter? But who slide it inside? The person who banging earlier maybe? Whatever it was but the most important question was what should he do?

And for some reason his heart was thumping really hard in his chest. He didn't knew why but there was a voice inside him telling maybe just maybe this is a letter from hyunjin?

He unfolds the paper, his hands shaking slightly. He gulped and started reading but just by reading the first few words his thumping heart started to race even faster now.

'hey felix

        It's hyunjin. I'm sure by now you already know what's my real identity is, that I'm an idol. I wanted to tell you earlier but I didn't got the perfect time. But it's not the main reason of this letter. I think you have already saw the news? About me dating yeji. Well to tell you the truth it's actually true. I'm dating yeji and I love her very much. I have always loved her. I'm sorry felix. I know it's too much to take. But it's true. I was never in love with you it was just that I was so stressed from my hectic  schedule that I needed some relaxation. And then I met you and I thought it's quite a good idea to have some fun. But after a while I realised that I'm wasting both of our time and I was about to tell you the truth when I saw you actually fall in love with me but I think it's too late now. I'm really sorry. Just try to forget about me.
