Adrien staggered back as pain blossomed through his chest. He looked down and grabbed the knife from the spot his mother had stabbed him. His mother had already run out of the room and down the hall. He chased after her. When he caught up to her he brought the knife down stabbing her through the neck. She fell forward limp and he followed soon after. Adrien rolled over onto his back staring at the ceiling and as the world turned black Adrien drew his last breath as the clock in the hall rang out with six long notes.
