The only person Five was worried about when he came to it was Diana.
With the car hitting his side straight on, he was out pretty quick. Somehow though, he managed to come out unscathed, and he ignored the fact that Jennifer was missing, or that there might be internal damage done to him, and pulled Diana out of the car.
The black haired girl was pretty shaken up, and she kept blinking harshly and couldn't seem to focus on anything. Five checked her over, and was relieved to see that it was just shock more then anything.
"Are you okay?" Five asked, his hand holding the left side of her face. "Any internal injuries? Is your stomach still nauseous? What about cramps? Are you crampy still?"
Diana shook her head, her cheeks burning red at the last two questions. "I'm okay. The shadows protected me. They always do, no matter what it is. And...And the cramps aren't too bad. They come and go."
Five smiled a bit, and wrapped his arm around her. He turned to James, who had stumbled out of the car as well, and looked him over. "You good?"
He nodded, looking dazed. Five nodded, and hugged Diana tighter, the girl leaning into his side. Luther looked over, and his eyes widened when he looked at her. "Diana, why do you have blood on your clothes?"
The girl looked down, then back up at Luther. "I'm on my period."
The man's face turned red, and he looked away. Five laughed a little bit, and a look came over his face, as if he were thinking back on a memory.
"Well, your period is coming out of your stomach then," Diego said. "Your midsections bloody."
Diana looked down, and saw that Diego was right. How did she not feel that? Five let go of her, and kneeled down, gently lifting her shirt up. He sighed in relief, giving his daughter a small smile. "It's just glass. It must have embedded itself into your stomach during the crash, before the shadows covered you."
Five began pulling the glass out, and Diana would wince every time he pulled a piece out. The others started talking, and Diana looked up when Diego snapped, "Who cares. And why'd they call you Nancy?"
Her eyes traveled to Lila, who looked at Diego, the woman at a loss for words Five sighed, and Diana's brows furrowed. She knew that sigh. What did he know?
"Their names are Gene and Jean." Five said, sharing a brief look with Lila. "They run an underground organization called the Keepers."
Diego's brows furrowed as he looked at Five. "Sex cult?"
"No, not a sex cult–"
"No," Diego cut off. "Once you get to the top, it's always a sex cult."
Luther nodded in agreement. "Yeah. The man's got a point."
Diana tilted her head, her brows furrowed in confusion. "What's...what's a sex cult? I...I know what a cult is, but...but what's...sex?"
Everyone went silent, and stared at Diana with wide eyes. They all slowly shared looks with each other, before Diego snapped, "She doesn't know what sex is?"
