As soon as I stepped into the fresh air, my body warmed up as it drank in the sunlight. A small smile graced my face at the heat.

With Raven at my side, I assessed the area of the camp. Ahead of me sat the campfire pit with a circle of benches surrounding it, behind that was the washrooms and then the woods. The cafeteria was off to one side of the property with the large red building -our destination- right next to that. There were still family members hugging their children goodbye. Jealousy coursed through my veins but I fought it down.

"Damn." Raven muttered behind me. I turned to see what she was looking at, or should I say, who.

Raven was gawking at three boys that had just emerged from cabin which was right next to ours. They looked to be around the same age as Raven and I (the camp ages ranged from fourteen to eighteen) and they looked like they all knew each other. They were shoving each other playfully and laughing loudly when one of them fell over. They looked like what I would only be left to assume as normal teenaged boys. They all looked decently attractive, not that I was in the business of checking out boys, considering I was already taken by a man.

I glanced back over at Raven to see that she was practically drooling in their direction. I rolled my eyes, if she was one of those extremely boy hungry girls then our budding friendship was going to have some problems. See, although I didn't exactly have a ton of experience with teenagers, or people at all, didn't mean that I haven't experienced my least favourite kinds of people. I was more an appreciator of strong women who didn't feel the need to obsess over men.

"Let's go talk to them," Raven whispered, giving my arm a tug. I quickly pulled my arm from her grasp.

"Oh no, no, no. I have a boyfriend, remember?" I crossed my arms over my chest as I watched her pout sadly at me. I began profusely shaking my head.

"But Seag! I need a wing woman. You don't even need to talk to them, just stand there and look like you care about what they're saying. Please?" Her pout deepened, full frontal puppy dog eyes coming through. We had made it behind the red building, teenagers were littering the lawn. Down a dirt path, there was a large lake with row boats lining the shore.

"You can go, I have a relationship to uphold." I stated glancing around at people making friends. If you honestly think I'm going to go out there and shake peoples hands and make friends then you must not have been awake for the past seventeen years. My own words rang through my head. I was going to stick to them. Maybe not the part about making friends since I suppose I had already kind of broken that but I certainly will not go around and introduce myself to people.

"You talk about it like it's a job or something." Raven scolded, her eyes still glued on the boys who was almost hidden behind the mass of girls who were talking to the trio. I shrugged my shoulders nonchalantly rolling my eyes at the boys fully flirting with their... groupies. "Whatever, I still don't get why we can't go say hi or something." Raven continued stubbornly.

"We can't because they are probably superficial hot heads who only care about getting their dicks sucked. You deserve more than that." I explained as Raven nodded her head every so often.

She let out an exasperated huff before looking at me. "Yeah... I guess you're right." Her words came out sounding like a long sigh. "But do you see the one with the short hair and pretty eyes? My God, he is to die for." She let out an animalistic groan to which I scrunched up my nose in distaste.

"So, I take it you don't have a boyfriend?" I said trying to veer the conversation from probable douche bag number one.

She broke her gaze from the boy and looked at me shaking her head vigorously. "Oh no, I mean I have this thing with this guy back home named Matt, but it's nothing to dwell on." She explained quickly.
