Hi lovelies
Hope you all are doing well.
Let's start...***
The grand dining room was adorned with flickering candles and exquisite tableware, setting the stage for a royal dinner. However, the absence of Taehyung and Yoongi was noticeable. The servants served various delicacies, and the room echoed with polite conversations.
Taehyung, fatigued and battling the onset of his heat, found solace in the quiet of his chamber. The energy required to engage in formalities was beyond him, and he preferred to rest, hoping to alleviate the exhaustion.
On the other hand, Yoongi deliberately avoided the dinner, not ready to face Jungkook. The tension in the air was palpable, and Yoongi sought refuge in the tranquility of his quarters.
As the night unfolded, the palace held secrets and untold emotions, setting the stage for a tale woven with complexities and unforeseen turns.
Jungkook, sensing the lingering tension in the air, made his way to Taehyung's chamber after dinner. The corridors of the palace echoed with each measured step, and the flickering candles cast a warm glow, illuminating the path.
Upon reaching Taehyung's door, Jungkook hesitated for a moment before gently knocking. The response was a muffled acknowledgment from within. Taehyung, though tired, welcomed Jungkook into his private space, where the atmosphere was laden with unspoken emotions and unresolved discussions.
Taehyung, in his white baggy attire, confronted Jungkook's presence in his room. Jungkook, standing at the center, asked about Taehyung's health, the question carrying an air of formality that didn't escape Taehyung's notice.
"I'm doing well, and if you're here to discuss the marriage date, I honestly don't understand why they are pushing this. If you want to back off, you can," Taehyung expressed, taking a seat on the couch near the balcony.
Jungkook looked at Taehyung earnestly, "The marriage date is not the main concern, Taehyung. I want you to know that I'm committed to making this work. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to ensure the success of our union. Your happiness and the well-being of our kingdoms matter to me."
Taehyung stood up, moving closer to Jungkook, their eyes locked in a determined gaze. "Jungkook, remember, I'm not a pawn in this. I won't tolerate any mistreatment. If you're genuinely interested, say it now, because I've been played before, and I won't let it happen again," Taehyung asserted, looking directly into Jungkook's eyes.
Jungkook stood in surprise, witnessing Taehyung's unexpected boldness. Rumors had reached him about the youngest omega prince of Euphoria being fearless and straightforward. Taehyung, it seemed, excelled in everything from culinary arts to swordplay. The reality of facing such a confident and assertive omega took Jungkook aback.
Jungkook gently took Taehyung's trembling hand, revealing a softer side beneath the bravado. Giving it a reassuring tug, he spoke, "I'm certain about this, Taehyung."
Taehyung gently released his hands from Jungkook's grasp and retreated to the balcony. Inhaling deeply, he spoke with a mix of vulnerability and sincerity, "I understand, Jungkook. It's a challenge for both of us, knowing your feelings for Lisa and moving forward with this engagement." The weight of Taehyung's words lingered in the air, a poignant acknowledgment of the complexities surrounding their impending union.
"I understand. Let's give each other a chance. I promise I'll not disappoint you," Jungkook assured as he stood beside Taehyung.
Observing Taehyung with closed eyes, relishing the night breeze, Jungkook marveled at the ethereal glow on Taehyung's face under the moonlight, making him appear almost otherworldly.
