As they strolled along the palace corridors, Seokjin took the opportunity to enlighten Taehyung about the intricacies of palace life and the responsibilities that awaited him as a future king. Taehyung listened intently, absorbing every word with a mixture of fascination and apprehension. The grandeur of the palace overwhelmed him, its halls echoing with centuries of history and tradition.

"So, Taehyung," Seokjin began, his voice carrying a paternal warmth, "as the future queen, there are certain protocols you'll need to adhere to. It's important to understand the expectations placed upon you."

Taehyung nodded, his mind swirling with thoughts of the upcoming engagement and the weight of his new role. He was grateful for Seokjin's guidance, yet couldn't shake the nagging sense of unease that lingered within him.

As they approached the dining room, Taehyung's heart quickened with anticipation, knowing that the engagement announcement awaited them within those opulent walls.

Taehyung observed the scene before him, noting the camaraderie between Jimin and Yoongi with a mixture of amusement and warmth. It was heartening to witness his usually reserved brother open up to Jimin, their friendship blossoming in unexpected ways.

As he approached the table, Taehyung exchanged a nod with Yoongi before taking his seat. Jimin greeted him with a smile, the warmth in his eyes a stark contrast to the tension that lingered in the air.

Taehyung leaned in conspiratorially, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "You know, Jiminie, I've always had a feeling about you and Yoongi hyung. Is there something you're not telling us?"

Jimin's cheeks flushed a delicate shade of pink, and he fidgeted with the hem of his shirt, trying to hide his embarrassment. "Oh, Taehyung-ah, you're imagining things. There's nothing between us, really."

But despite his attempt to downplay it, the hint of a smile played at the corners of Jimin's lips, betraying his shy amusement.

Yoongi raised an eyebrow, shooting Jimin a knowing look. "You're blushing, Jimin. You're not fooling anyone."

Jimin's blush deepened, and he shot a playful glare at Yoongi. "Shut up, hyung. You're not helping."

Taehyung chuckled, thoroughly enjoying the exchange. "Oh, come on, Jiminie. There's no need to be shy. Love is a beautiful thing."

Their playful banter brought a sense of lightness to the room, easing the tension and creating a moment of shared laughter and affection.

As the conversation continued, Yoongi glanced at Jimin with a soft expression. "I think it's time we should to our parents about us, Jimin."

Jimin's eyes widened in surprise, a mixture of nervousness and excitement flickering in his gaze. "Are you sure, Yoongi?"

Yoongi nodded, determination shining in his eyes. "Yes, Jimin. It's time."

Jungkook's arrival brought a subtle shift in the atmosphere. He greeted everyone warmly, his gaze skimming over his father without acknowledgment. Taehyung noticed the tension between them, exchanged a glance with Yoongi, who seemed equally uneasy. Jimin, sensing the underlying tension, shifted uncomfortably in his seat, his cheeks flushing slightly as he avoided eye contact. Taehyung couldn't resist teasing them, nudging Yoongi playfully, "Looks like someone's got a secret admirer." Yoongi rolled his eyes, but Jimin's blush deepened, earning a chuckle from Taehyung.

Taehyung observed a strained dynamic between Jungkook and his father, noting the tension that seemed to linger beneath their interactions.

They all began the lunch. Seokjin turned to Jimin and said, "Jimin, you should call the tailor and tell him to bring Taehyung's and Jungkook's clothes so she can make alterations." Chanyeol and Namjoon were lost in their conversation, discussing kingdom matters.
