As the Jeon family arrived back at their kingdom, the weight of the day's events lingered in the air. Despite the familiar surroundings, Jungkook found himself grappling with a whirlwind of emotions, his thoughts consumed by the recent conversations and interactions with Taehyung.
After freshening up, they gathered for dinner, but Jungkook's mind was elsewhere, his internal turmoil casting a shadow over the meal. With each passing moment, he struggled to reconcile his feelings and uncertainties, unsure of how to navigate the path ahead.
"Jungkook, I don't want any problems from your side," Namjoon stated firmly, his voice leaving no room for misunderstanding. It was a clear directive, a reminder of the expectations placed upon Jungkook as a member of their family and as a representative of their kingdom.
"Dad, stop pressuring me for everything!" Jungkook's frustration boiled over, his hand slamming down on the table with a resounding thud. The tension in the room escalated as his outburst reverberated through the silence that followed.
Namjoon's stern gaze met Jungkook's defiant glare, his expression unwavering. "I'm doing what is best for you," he retorted, his tone firm and unyielding.
"Lisa was also good. I don't know why you don't like her," Jungkook shot back, his voice tinged with lingering resentment. The mention of Lisa only fueled his frustration further, adding another layer of complexity to the strained relationship between father and son.
"I don't need to explain everything to you," Namjoon stated firmly before returning his attention to his food, signaling an end to the conversation.
Seokjin, observing the exchange between father and son, sighed inwardly, feeling the weight of their strained relationship bearing down on him. As a bystander caught in the crossfire, he couldn't help but feel weary of the perpetual tension that seemed to linger between Namjoon and Jungkook.
"Why? You want that fragile omega to be my wife, whereas Lisa is strong and capable," Jungkook challenged, his frustration boiling over.
Namjoon smirked in response. "You don't know anything, son," he retorted cryptically, his expression unreadable.
Seokjin, weary of the conflict between father and son, interjected, his voice tinged with exhaustion. "Let's not argue about this now. We can discuss it calmly later," he suggested, hoping to diffuse the tension.
Jungkook's anger simmered as he sought reassurance about Lisa's safety. "Where is Lisa? She's safe, right?" he demanded, his voice tinged with concern.
Namjoon's response did little to assuage Jungkook's anxiety. "You don't have to worry about that," he replied vaguely, his tone evasive.
Jungkook's frustration flared anew at his father's nonchalant response. "You promised if I said yes, you would keep her safe," he reminded Namjoon, his voice tinged with accusation.
Namjoon's silence spoke volumes, leaving Jungkook seething with frustration and uncertainty.
Namjoon finished his dinner and departed, leaving a heavy silence in his wake.
Seokjin, sensing Jungkook's turmoil, attempted to offer some solace. "Jungkook, trust your father. He wouldn't make any decisions lightly," he advised, his voice gentle yet firm.
Jungkook's frustration simmered beneath the surface as he responded to his mother's attempt at reassurance. "Eomma, you know how much I love Lisa. I did what Appa said, but he needs to keep his promise and ensure Lisa's safety," he insisted, his tone tinged with frustration and concern.
