*Dear Readers, Apologies for veering away from the main story for a while; this will conclude the side story for now, and I'll resume updating the main story :)

Bay of Trapezon, Nearby Eastern Sea (Honorian) Walls

1st Fleet "Dominatore dei Mari", Flagship L'Annientatore

Around the main deck

Within the maindeck of the L'Annientatore, a diverse assembly of commanders and high ranking officers convened from myriad races, united in their participation in the grand siege of Trapezon. Representatives from distant lands, spanning from wood elves and wolflings to centaurs and countless demi-humans, gathered around the table adorned with a map of Trapezon and its surrounding territories. The atmosphere crackled with tension, palpable in the furrowed brows and clenched jaws of those assembled.

Breaking the silence, a middle-aged noble with sheep horns protruding from his head voiced his concern.

"... Considering the direction of their arrival, it's evident that those fleets possess the capability to decimate Visconte Maglio's forces. We can't ascertain their prowess or the toll exacted in their clash, but they undeniably pose a significant threat."

A young commander, with elegantly elongated ears and regal bearing, shifted slightly, his features reflecting deep contemplation.

"Lord Yaktes, let's not rush to conclusions without ample evidence. It's imperative we act with discernment, lest we provoke unnecessary conflict. Perhaps, those fleets never encountered Maglio's forces at all."

A murmur of agreement rippled through the assembly. A centaur, clad in armor etched with ancient runes, spoke next, his voice carrying the weight of generations of warrior lineage.

"Alamor Aired speaks true. We must prepare for the worst while hoping for the best. If Maglio's fleet has indeed fallen, it falls upon us to rally our forces and stand as the bulwark against those encroaching threat. Yet, until we have irrefutable proof of their intentions, let's not brand them as enemies outright."

The noble with sheep horns inclined his head in acknowledgment, his expression grave yet resolute.

"Your wisdom is duly noted, but there's no harm in exercising caution, especially when victory in this siege is assured, is there?" Turning his gaze to a man nearby, he continued,

"Sénior Pacettii, would you not agree?"

With a sheen of sweat upon his brow, Gran Duke Pacetii interjected, his voice carrying an air of affirmation as he sought to bolster his standing amidst the growing whispers of suspicion surrounding his leadership. He boasted of averting the prophesied failure, adamant in his refusal to allow doubt to tarnish his prestige. Some rumors swirled that his prior decision to purge the Gennis naval high command had been a grievous error, and now, with the sudden appearance of the massive fleet, those whispers gained traction. Many amongst the nobles and high ranking officers began to speculate that this fleet was indeed the catastrophic threat foretold by the ominous portent.

"Indeed, we have deftly sidestepped the potential calamity foretold by the omen. Our victory is all but assured; we must simply proceed with the utmost caution."

Another noble, standing close to the Gran Duke, spoke up with conviction, seeking to fortify Gran Duke's position.

"Reports suggest a mere 30 vessels in their possession. Esteemed members, why should we tremble? Our illustrious fleet boasts over 2000 ships! Even if they bested Maglio's modest 200, we maintain a significant numerical advantage!"
