Chapter Twenty Seven

~ 3rd Person POV ~

" So much work...fuck I wish Taehyung was here " Jungkook mumbled as he typed on his laptop, typing up a few notes that he had been slacking. He all of a sudden heard a knock on his door, he rolled his eyes and yelled

" Who is it " He yelled, continuing to type on his laptop, trying to get things done so that he could go back to Taehyung and just be with him. He was his stress reliever, someone who he didn't have to discuss work with

" it's your baby girl Layla" she sang out, making Jungkook rolled his eyes, closing his eyes and taking in a deep sigh before saying that she can come on

" Hello Kookie" She said as she walked into the office, closing the door after herself , walking to him

" What are you doing here?"

" I just wanted to talk to you about Taehyung" Layla said in a serious tone, pulling out a chair and sitting down in front of him. He closed his laptop and tilted his head

" okay...what about him?" He asked her, wanting to know what Layla had to saw about his love

" I just wanted you to know that I just get a bad vibe from him" She said with all honesty as he crossed her arms and legs, looking directly at Jungkook. If anything, Jungkook didn't really care what she had to say about him

" Why's that?"

" you don't find me weird or anything?" She questioned as if there was something wrong with Taehyung that Jungkook should absolutely know about..minus the stalking

Jungkook shook his head, not understanding her question because so far. Taehyung has been nothing but this perfect Angel to Jungkook and loved it a lot

" Layla, no. I see nothing wrong with him, why would I even think there is something wrong with him" Jungkook asked curiously. He didn't see anything wrong with Taehyung but somehow, Layla thought something was wrong

" Don't you think you are moving too fast with him...I just find it a little bit off putting. I've known you forever and you've never moved this quickly with someone. Hell, you didn't even move this quickly with me-"

" That's because I want something serious-"

" So you're saying our relationship wasn't serious?" she asked, placing her hand over her heart. Hurt by what Jungkook said as he rolled his eyes

" This isn't about us, and this isn't about you. This is about Taehyung. Him and I are getting pretty serious and right now, I think I'm going to ask him to be my boyfriend soon" Jungkook said as he got up from his seat but Layla immediately grabbed him by the arm

" What?!? Jungkook, you can't be fucking serous" Layla asked, her heart dropping immediately once Jungkook just told her that he might ask Taehyung out

Not to say the least but Jungkook didn't understand why this was other her so much

" um yeah...I'm actually thinking that I might introduce him publicly as my boyfriend, That's if he agree to it " Jungkook said pretty calmly while Layla was losing her mind. So much shit was happening at once and she couldn't understand it

She was about to lose Jungkook

" But you guys have just met. Do you even know everything about him? What if all he wants from you is your money and your fortune" Layla asked him. Trying to understand why Jungkook was just going to up and publicly date this boy that he hasn't even know for more than three weeks

" I don't need to know every aspect of his life to know that I want him in it. He hasn't asked for any of my money, I willingly spent it on him. He talks to me like I'm a normal human being and he treat me like I'm a person, you don't know him like I do Lay," Jungkook said as he tried to explain to her but she was wasn't listen

" Kookie, please. Can you just think about this"

" I don't know what else I need to think about Layla. I understand what you mean but, I think...I-I think....I might...I might love him if that's what I feeling and...and I just feel like I should make it public " Jungkook mumbled with all honesty as Layla's breathing started to hitch

The second Jungkook said that he might love Taehyung, she had to sit down and breathe. She just couldn't believe this was happening...after everything they've been through

" Y-you....you guys don't even know each other and you want to make it public. Even I know you more than him but you are picking him over me? That's all you've been doing, picking him over your own best friend " Layla mumbled almost upset that Jungkook over this

" I'm not doing it to you on purpose, it's just that he is starting to become something so serious and I just want him in my life. Why is that so wrong?" Jungkook asked, just wanting to know why she had such a problem

" I'm not saying that it's wrong. I'm just saying that you almost never do this to anyone. Never in my life have I seen you publicly want to date someone, let alone ask them out or even bring them around your family. This random boy can't be that special to you. It's impossible " She said as she walked up to him and placed her hand on his cheek

" I finally find someone who doesn't use me as their personal ATM machine and you're just now upset?" Jungkook questioned her. Not liking this conversation because it was getting nowhere

" Layla, please understand that we are not together so please just drop it. You guys are very big aspects of my life so please just play along, please?" Jungkook asked as grabbed his file, getting ready for his meet. He ruffled her hair and walked out of his office and to his meeting

Layla watched him walk out, leaning against the door as she thought to himself " oh, I'll make sure to play alone " She mumbled before walking out of the office herself
