The Truth

~~~~~Avery POV~~~~~

I was sleeping in my bed, with Alexander snuggled up to me. Adrian was missing, if he was going off doing errands being King, I'm not sure our marriage will last. What happen to the romance? He's either too busy for me anymore or too tired. 

I sighed, and opened the window curtain. It was dark out, really dark. I looked at Alexander, who was fast asleep snuggled in his baby blue blanket. I smiled sweetly at him, he was so adorable. I've become clingy to him, if he wasn't by my side at all times, I would go crazy thinking about him. Alexander was growing fast, faster than normal. 

The nurses say it's part of the vampire life, once they are born they grow up faster. Apparently there are different kinds of Vampires;

Pure Blood - ones that are born as Vampires, they are very powerful.

Made Vampires - Like me, but only I'm different since I was born from two very powerful Vampires then made intoa  vampire.

Adrian is a pure blood, and that's a big gene. So Alexander got that. 

It made me sad, yes I know he'll live forever but he was growing up so fast, he was at the age of two already. I felt like I was missing on his childhood. 

I sighed, these thoughts are making me very depressed. I decided to push them way back in my head, and try and find what's going on around this palace that no one won't tell me. I quietly kissed Alexander on the forehead, tucked him in more, and silently close the door behind me, making sure not to disturb him. 

"Now to find out what's really going on." I muttered to myself, I'll check Vix first. Maybe he might know. 

I went to downstairs, where his little office was, and paused at his door. I heard voices, and they were talking about something very dangerous.

"I know, Vix."

Adrian. I thought he didn't like Vix much? Why would he want to talk to him?

"Tell me again why I'm here?" A familair voice said, sounding bored out of their mind.

"Do you have the necklace on you?" I heard Vix, but barely. It sounded like he was whispering or something.

"Yeah, why?"

"Do you know what it possess?"

There was a pause, a long silent pause. And I was about to barge in and demand what the hell was going until Jared answered.

"No.. is it bad? What's going on?"

That's what I was asking.

I heard Vix sigh, "Jared, that necklace can cause great destruction and deadly events. If in the wrong hands, the human race can be evaporated in one second. We need to cleanse that necklace before whoever gets ahold of it."

I gulped down the big ball in my throat. What was this necklace?

I heard someone getting up, and handed something noisy to Vix. 

"Who would want to destroy the humans?" I heard Jared asking. 

"We don't know. But whoever, will need..."

Really? What is with these damn pauses! 

"Need what?" Jared asked, sounding anxious.

Adrian sighed, "They need to sacrifice a baby."

My whole world just came crashing down on me. A baby? The only baby we have here is Alexander...

"Alexander?" Jared asked in a whisper.
