~~~~~Vix POV~~~~~
"Are you sure you can do this, brother?"
I sighed, finishing stretching my muscles and breathing in slow and deep.
"Yes, let's begin."
I looked at my sister, Vikki, and she nodded and breathed in and then sang; "Ancestors, lend my power to Vix, heal his wounds, purify this destruction!"
I felt her power cursing through my veins, feeling invincible.
I pointed my index finger at the necklace, picking up in mid air with my mind, it stood straight in the air, and cleansing it with holy light, it started to shake and the room began trembling.
"I need more power Vikki!" I shouted, and she smirked at me.
"What?" I asked, worrying now. Once this ritual begins, there is no way to end it till it is either cleansed or..
"Vikki!"
She started hitting the necklace with shadow magic making it tremble more and more.
"No! What the hell are you doing!? Stop!"
She laughed, "My brother, you are so naive to believe everything you've heard about me. Did you honestly believe I changed my ways? Hah! You are foolish!"
She laughed heartily at me, making me flinch. My sister is a monster. How can this be?
"What are you doing!"
She hissed at me, "I'm making it dark, making it see the ways of dark magic, death." She smirked.
"Vikki, don't! All of human life will be destroyed! We are not suppose to roam the planet! We are meant to stay hidden, to keep all life safe. Vikki, please! Sister!"
"Silence!" She shouted.
I can't let her do this, I can't let her destroy all life. I had to do something.
Adrian.
He will help.
Adrian, do you hear me?
Vix?
I silently cheered to myself.
My office - now! Hurry!
And the next thing I knew, Adrian slammed open the door and his eyes widened at Vikki who was cursing the necklace more.
"KILL HER!" I shouted, and Vikki turned around, and hissed at Adrian who used his speed and ran up to her, and teared open her neck.
"Ahhhh!" She let out a piercing scream making a tear slide down my cheek.
Vikki laid there on the floor, lifeless.
"I'm sorry, Vix." Adrian said.
I nodded my head. "It's fine.." I muttered to myself.
"Can you do this yourself?"
I stared at the necklace, I was bonded to it. I couldn't let go until I finished the ritual.
"Yes, I can do this. Adrian," I paused, "Doing this myself will cost my life."
Adrian's eyes darkened.
"Vix," he started, but I silenced him. "No, Adrian. Tell Avery I'm sorry. Now leave, it's going to get crazy the more I cleanse this. Go, NOW!" And he flew out.
I stared at my sisters lifeless body, and began hitting the necklace with Holy Light once again, cleansing it as fast as I can. The quicker I cleanse it, the faster the ritual will be finished.
~~~~~Xavier POV~~~~~
I watched as that King of Vampires ripped open my loves neck.
This was it. This was time for the war.
"KLAUS!" I shouted, and he quickly came to my room and bowed. "Yes, sir?"
I looked up from the mirror, "Let the war begin." He nodded, and warned everyone it was time to attack the Palace.
I was going to kill that vampire myself.
I will avenge my Vikki.. my sweet, dear Vikki.
~~~~~Adrian POV~~~~~
I ran to the guards. I knew what Xavier had saw, I could feel his demon eyes staring down. He has the mirror, there was no other explanation. The mirror he posses has the ability to show the person who is holding it to see whatever they wish. I should've known the minute she came into the Palace.
His stench lingered on her.
"Adrian? What's going on? Everyone room has been put on lockdown, the palace is locked. Adrian, speak to me!" I heard a frantic, frighten Avery behind me and turned around and embraced her in my arms.
"Where's Alexander?"
"He's with your mother. Adrian, what's happening? Where's Vix?"
I breathed heavily in her hair, not wanting to tell her Vix will be dead in no longer than three hours or so.
"He's okay. Avery listen to me, Vikki is dead. She was a spy for Xavier, your old slave master. I'm pretty sure he is announcing war as we speak. Any minute now - any day now the Palace could be under attack. I need you to go to my mother, and Alexander and stay with them. Stay in the darkest, secure room there is. Can you do this for me?"
I felt bad, and extremely guilty for lying to her about Vix, but I couldn't tell her. Not yet. Her face was wet, from the tears sliding down her cheeks, and landing on her chest. Hearing the lost of Vikki will made her sad, and I'm sure she couldn't believe it.
"Avery?"
She nodded, "Adrian, promise me you'll be safe."
I took her face in my hands and stared in her eyes.
"I promise, Avery. Now go, please."
I kissed her good-bye, and she ran down the stairs back to my mother.
I had to warn the guards it was time.
Xavier was coming, and I'm sure he wanted avenge of the death of his love.
