"Good Job," Hachiman, The Shinto God of War, Nodded at his Pupil and his Teammate.
Sitting in a Meeting Room inside Nara's Shin-Corp Headquarters, The Two Humans were listening to the god Speak.
"You completed your mission, You got all the Yokai Outside, and you didn't alert any civilians," The Samurai Armored God nodded at the two Humans.
"Yeah, I was kind of amazing back there-" Motohama Ken scratched his cheek as he smiled before the god interrupted him.
"However, The two of you split off the moment the mission began, You will not be doing so in future missions without a plan to reconnect," The God stared at the teenagers through the eye holes in his mask.
"Splitting up was his Idea!" Motohama quickly pointed a finger at Connla, The Older teenager merely groaned tiredly as he glared at the younger teen through the corner of his eyes.
"It does not matter who came up with that Idea, what matters is that you followed through with it," Hachiman shook his head, "You did not know what kinds of Spirits lived in that building, What would you have done if one that was stronger than your average Human appeared? The two of you had trouble fighting against two different lower-ranking Spirits," He stared at the two Teenagers before his eyes focused on the Celtic Exchange Agent.
"Connla, You had no plan to deal with the Deer Yokai other than using your Sacred Gear," Connla squirmed under the gaze of the god, "You have talent with a spear, and your Sacred Gear is capable of much more than simply throwing wooden furniture, Do not be afraid to use it," Connla clicked his tongue and turned to look away.
Hachiman merely shook his head at the grumpy teenager before turning to Motohama, "Motohama, You are a skilled boy, your swordsmanship has already improved in leaps and bounds, Yet you still are hesitant to use it. Do not be, An enemy Spirit will not hesitate to use everything in their disposal to get rid of you, simply because of your Spirit Inheritance. Do not disregard your blade." Motohama shrunk under the gaze of the War God.
"I know, It's just... The spirit looked like Hikari, and I just... I don't want to see it in pain." He took off his glasses to rub at his eyes, "It's one thing if the opponent looks like a blank-faced statue or an angry ogre, But... She looked like a little girl... I didn't want to see her suffer... Not closely."
Hachiman took a moment to think of how to address this little conundrum.
"Exorcising the spirit is the greatest relief you could have brought her," He told the boy, "Your over-reliance on the Talismans and your unwillingness to end the fight as soon as you could, only lead to more pain and suffering, to both you and the Spirit. It is good you can sympathize with them, but do not let it cloud your judgment. That spirit would have killed you if given the opportunity."
Motohama merely stayed silent, avoiding the god's gaze.
"That is all for now, The Nara headquarters will deal with the rest," And with a stomp of his foot, Hachiman sent the boys away, watching as his magic teleported them where they needed to be.
..........................................
"Yo Yo Ken-chan! How was your mission?! Wait, don't tell me. You kicked ass, didn't you? Haha! Of course you did! You're my apprentice after all!"Before I could even process being teleported away, A Certain Storm god popped in front of my face and started talking loudly.
He was so annoying! "Shut up old man!"
As soon as those words left my mouth my blood froze, realization hitting me, reminding me who I was speaking to.
This annoying man who acts like some uncle could squash me like an insect, and I just told him to shut up.
I just called him an Old Man!!!
Oh, my life is ruined! Now he's gonna kick me out of Shin-Corp, and then blacklist me from ever learning more about the supernatural ever again!!!!
"Did you just call me an Old Man?" Susanoo-no-Mikoto asked slowly, his cheerful smile gone from his face.
"...Yes?"
Silence stretched between us, with the God of storms looming silently over me as I pulled myself back into a ball.
"...HAHAHAHA!!!"
I stopped, hearing Susanoo's booming laughter echoing around me.
"Are you afraid or something?! Hahahaha! You're my cute little Apprentice! As a super-awesome teacher, it's a mark of pride when your student feels comfortable enough to call you an 'Old Man' Hahahaha!!!"
I blinked, the fear leaving me as I opened my mouth to ask, "So, you're not mad I told you to shut up?"
"What? Why would I be mad? You're a little kid, It's only natural for you to start your rebellious phase sooner or later."
And as those words left his mouth, my brain short-circuited as the realization for my outburst of annoyance hit me.
I'm going through Puberty...
For the second time...
....FUCK!!!
"Now, Tell me all about your mission! Did you save a princess? Defeat a Dragon? I did both of those things back in the day you know, It's only natural for you to learn to do the same sooner or later. Killing Dragons that is, There aren't many princesses in distress looking for a hero to save them, Girl Power and all that, But timer are changing and-" I shut the god's words out of my mind as I sank into despair.
The nightmare I always knew I would need to fight through, the horror I always knew would one day arrive...
Second Puberty.
Hopefully, things will go smoother this time...
...I jinxed it, didn't I?
...FUCK!!!
Short chapter this time, sorry for the late update.
