I drove towards her flat. But she wasn't there. My morning had been rough, and I needed a distraction. some time with her would do just that. I had made us some lunch. I knew she probably wouldn't have anything in the house. Like usual, she forgets to buy groceries. Unless I force her to go buy some with me.
Normally we text every night, but that didn't happen last night. I texted her as I drove in front of her building. My notification sound went off not even seconds later. She was at the Sun Crawl? What the hell was she doing there? We hadn't been there in so long.. The last time we went there was with Kai.
I turned the car around and drove to the Kiosk. Getting out and packing all the things I got for her, I knew how much she loved the smell of these flowers.. But as I walked in and saw her like that. In that state completely broken. I knew for sure something had happened last night.
Walking into the kiosk a wave of old emotions hit me. We used to come here every weekend. The smell of freshly made bread filled my nose. Scanning the room I found her sitting there.
'Spill.' I groaned at her as I sat down, my voice was angry. I was aware, but I did not care. I was, no one can hurt my little girl. She looked up at me, I knew the look she had in her eyes. Someone had hurt her, hurt her badly. I had no recognition of the woman next to her. But that wasn't important right now. Nami was.
'I-I...' She was struggling. It was something deep. Something that hit her right in her heart of gold.
The woman next to her replied. 'Her sister and Lucian.. She found them in the same bed.'
My fist clenched. My anger got the best of me as I slammed my fist on the table. Nami flinched because of the sudden movement. Everyone noticed and was looking at us by now. I didn't give a fuck. That fucking miserable piece of shit hurt her. No. He broke her. Nami knew what I was thinking of doing as she looked at me scared.
'P.please... don't do anything stupid again.' Her voice was soft. So soft you could barely hear her in between the whimpering. Her face changed into concern and I knew exactly why. A few years ago I broke a man's nose only because he dared to touch Nami.
But I hated seeing her like this. She was like this when she heard about Kai, he is my older brother. Two years ago he ended up in a coma, we were inseparable before. That night after the news she broke down completely, I couldn't comfort her.. Nothing could. But then Lucian came into the picture and did everything I couldn't do at that point. He pretended to love her, and now. Now he fucked up. She doesn't want it. But I will pay that man a visit. And show him that this is not how you should treat a woman.
'You know I will pay him a visit, right?' My hands started shaking as I thought about the things I could do to him. She bit her bottom lip.
'I'll go with you,' the woman beside her offered, her voice steady.
I shot her a sharp look, barely holding back my frustration. 'Not to be rude, but who are you?''Oh yeah sorry, My name is Kamiko Quinn. I met her yesterday in a club.' A club? Why didn't she fucking text me. She knew I would be there for her. Fucking hell Nami.
Sure, you can come with me I suppose.' Kamiko gave me a slight smile.
'D.don't..' Nami whispered softly. Kamiko answered before I could attempt to speak up.
'Yes. Yes, we will. We both will. You trust us, no?' Nami was debating her options but nodded slightly.
'You can visit Kai? I know he would like that.' Trying to change the subject, my voice got softer.. I didn't want to freak her out more than she already was.
'He.. wouldn't know I was there.' Kamiko's face changed as her eyebrows drew together. Nami didn't look me in the eyes but started turning her ring instead. She always did this when she got insecure.
