Hiii it's been a second!! I know that pretty much nobody reads these silly lil rambles but I have fun with 'em soooo- ha!
I recently turned 18 (January 11th!!) and it's just crazy to me!! My 4 foot 10.5 inches ass does NOT look the part at all. My birthday itself was very fun though, I got to go to IKEA and legally buy lottery tickets. Just gotta register to vote and I'm all set! And then I also had a small party with my two good friends and my partner, it was really nice even though we were basically snowed in! I had a red velvet cake which is my favorite!
For my birthday I got a PS5 which is essentially my "$500 Balder's Gate 3 machine". I've gotten major FOMO for months over that damn game and now I FINALLY have gotten to play it! After clocking around 26 hours I can safely say that I am fixated on the game and in love with every female character I lay eyes on. Karlach and Shadowheart are my main girls though, give me pretty ladies with traumatic backstories and you will get all my damn money. Bg3 has also successfully pipelined me into actual DnD too!!
I'm currently at the beginning of my first DnD campaign led by my new friend Jonah! I've got him, my other friend Jordyn, and my partner Anna all playing! Jonah's two childhood friends are also there which is cool too! We're mostly just working on our character sheets for the time being but I LOVE my character. Her name is Twila and she's a tiefling-ram hybrid rogue who is also a pirate captain. I made her in middle school on a whim and am thrilled I get to actually use her for something! Jonah's playing a dragon borne rogue, the two other guys are playing a wizard and barbarian, Anna has a centaur bard, and Jordyn has a fighter elf (who may or may not have the same backstory as Branch from the movie Trolls -_-). Our second meeting is tomorrow yay!!
It takes a lot of prodding on most occasions to get me into shows with real people (I'm much more likely to watch animated stuff). But thanks to a good system friend of mine forming fictives from Good Omens and me wanting to learn more about them I finally bit the bullet and watched it. Lemme tell you: it's GREAT! I know everyone has been raving about it since release but damn is it warranted! Neil Gaiman is a genius and I will forever stand by that fact. Just a lot of good commentary on religion and the inconsistencies within faith. My partner watched it along with me and really enjoyed all the accurate references (she's read the Bible a billion times just to pick it apart so she's well versed in its content). And of course it's gay angels and demons like- what more could you want! So pumped for season 3, it will destroy me.
Of course I can't end a rambling without something related to my partner so here's that: our one year anniversary was in December! I'm so damn lucky to have her in my life. She's been beside me for years throughout all the bullshit I've had to go through and I guess I never really realized that she was that constant in my life. I'm so happy to have her by my side for as long as she'll have me!!
