POV: George
By the time I saw the big building where I worked I was heaving heavily due to running all the way here. I felt like I was going to throw up, but knew I didn't have anything to throw up. I could tell my hair was a mess so I quickly combed it with my hand and straightened my shirt and tie. Once I got in front of the building I saw the bright color sign.
GAMERS OUTLOOK
I openly cringed at the sign. It was brightly colored and each letter was in a different format. The sign made this hell hole look like a wonderful place to work at, but in Actuality it was anything but.
As I walked through the front doors I was met by a worried looking brown haired man. He was pacing the floor with a cup of coffee, one in each of his hands. I chuckled and called out to the pacing man.
"Karl, what's got you all worked up this morning? Did Mr. Morris ask you out on a date or something?" I wiggled my eyebrows when grey eyes met my dark brown ones.
Karl's face went from panic to complete embarrassment.
"George, what the hell man! Don't say that kind of stuff especially out loud like that! Come on Georgei." he said and I full on broke out laughing. Karl simply shook his head and walked over to me. He shoved one of the cups into my hands.
"Come on we need to hurry and get to our office before you know who realizes your late."
I nodded, thankful for the warm liquid quickly taking a sip. It was still warm which told me Karl was expecting me to be late. Without another word Karl spun on his heels quickly and started rushing towards the elevator. I quickly followed behind him.
Once we were in the elevator Karl reached over and hit the button that would send us to the third floor. The elevator was fairly old so it would take it a few minutes to get to the floor. Karl and I were quite for a minute but he broke that silence pretty quick.
"So how are the kids?" I nodded, "There good." Karl seemed to flinch at the short answer. However he didn't say anything.
Karl was one of the few people who knew about my children. I wasn't embarrassed or anything about my children. They were my world after all, I'd do anything or hurt anyone who hurt them. However I was only twenty five years old, single and not to mention I was gay. Karl also knew about my sexuality and he didn't judge me for it. I just didn't want people knowing either about my children or my sexuality. I hated the thought of people using my personal life or my personal business against me. I already had a hard life, I didn't need others making it harder.
So only Karl, Darryl and Zak knew about my children and my sexuality.
Once the elevator finally reached the third floor and opened Karl and I stepped out. We quickly passed by the cubicles that had a few people either sitting in them and working, or they were hanging around someone else's and chatting away while the boss wasn't looking.
As we walked I looked over at the right side of the room and noticed a few private offices that were small and had glass walls showing what was going on inside.
Karl and I reached a set of glass doors and we quickly walked through them. The room beyond was fairly big. Not very big though, just the right size for two guys and their desks. The room had two doors. The one we entered in and the one on the opposite wall which lead to the boss and assistant boss's office.
I walked in and walked over to my desk sighing audibly. My desk was on the right side of the room and was pretty basic. It had a computer to the side of it and a pretty big pile of paper work. I groaned at the sight and cussed under my breath. This was going to be a long day.
