Tommy let out an annoyed groan as he shivered. He was under four blankets and two sheets while being curled into himself on his bed. He has been living in the Watson Household for about a month now, and the summer had very sadly come to an end.

It was less than 10 degrees outside, and the heating system inside the house decided to break down the day before. Despite the broken heating system, the house stayed around 45 degrees during the day and dropped down to about 35 at night. It was worse when someone had to leave the house, the cold air quickly would spread throughout the house the moment the front or back door was opened.

Tommy knows that if he were eating properly and had a higher metabolism he wouldn't be as cold as he is at the moment. Tommy also knows it won't be long before someone in the household notices the constant chills Tommy has. So, being as smart of a kid as he could be, Tommy has decided to stay in the safety his room, laying in bed and curled into himself under as many blankets as he could gather without being noticed.

Tommy grabbed his phone out from under the blankets with a cold shaking hand and checked the time. 1:46 PM. It only took a few seconds for him to power back off the phone and pull his hand back under the layers of sheets and blankets. Tommy closed his eyes, trying his hardest to block out the shivers running through his cold body so he could take another nap.

Sadly, his plans for a nap were ruined by a sudden knock on his bedroom door. Tommy raised his head slightly over the blankets. "Tommy, can I come in?" Wilbur, because of course it was Wilbur, asked from behind the door. Tommy cleared his throat before speaking. "Yea." He said shortly, trying to suppress his shivers. Tommy watched as Wilbur entered his dimly lit bedroom, a slight smile on his face as they made eye contact. Wilbur shut the door behind him and walked over to sit on Tommy's desk chair. Wilbur was wearing a thick pair of black sweatpants and a thick black sweater with fluffy black wool socks. Lucky bastard wasn't shivering or anything.

"You look cozy." Wilbur started with a chuckle. "Not cozy enough." Tommy replied with a shiver, to which Wilbur replies with another chuckle. "You'll warm up soon enough, Toms." Wilbur smiles. "Dad has some people come over within the next two hours to fix the heating system."

"Oh, cool." Tommy mumbles. "Is that why you came up here?"

"Yea, Dad wanted me to tell you. I also wanted to come see if you were awake."

"Why?" Tommy asks.

"I haven't seen you since dinner last night, I missed you." Wilbur grins. "Wilbur, that was less than a day ago." Tommy states. "I missed you." Wilbur repeats. Tommy groans out dramatically. "You're so clingy." Wilbur's grin grows. "You fell asleep on top of me on your second day here, that's a true brotherly bonding experience."

"I despise you." Tommy grumbles with a grin. "I'm sure you do." Wilbur replies. "I brought you a sweater, I thought you might need it. It appears I was correct." He says as he looks at Tommy's shivering form.

Tommy uncurled himself and stood up from his bed, only to grow dizzy and topple over back onto the bed with a huff. He must've blacked out for a minute or two because the next thing he noticed was he was being fussed over by Wilbur. Tommy groaned slightly as he tried to sit up, only for Wilbur to gently push him back down.

"Be careful, Tommy. You passed out for a second." Wilbur says, confirming what Tommy had already guessed. "Oh." Tommy replies. "Yeah, oh." Wilbur looks him up and down for a moment. "I think your sugar levels are low. I'll be right back. Don't move."

Tommy groaned in annoyance. "I'm still dizzy, didn't plan on it dumbass." Wilbur sped out of his bedroom, leaving his bedroom door ajar. How rude. Tommy thought tiredly with a yawn, he felt very fatigued and he was sweating and shivering and his heart felt funny. This didn't feel too great in Tommy's opinion.
