Standing on a balcony, overlooking the lake, Bella thinks back on the last fourteen years of her life. Things are so different from when she first arrived at Josh's Kingdom and it's not just her life that is different, so is she.
After Jensen's death, her sole focus was on her child, a baby girl she named Alexis and who, just like Mackenzie had predicted, was loved by everyone who met her. Alexis is a mix of her and Jensen, having her father's green eyes and soft smile, while having her mouth and temperament. She is Bella's pride and joy.
Once Alexis was old enough, Mackenzie had asked Bella to become her advisor. At first, Bella was hesitant, but it didn't take long for her to find her place and truly be able to help Mackenzie with what she needed. Even if sometimes that help looked like the two of them getting drunk in Mackenzie's room.
Bella's own personality changed somewhat over the years. She became more outspoken, standing her ground when needed, and not allowing anyone to put her down in any way whatsoever.
But no matter how much time has passed, and how much things changed for her, she still grieves her husband. Bella makes a point of going to the Crypt once a week, sitting near Jensen's sarcophagus, and telling him all that had happened during the week.
Footsteps behind her bring her out of her thoughts, her black dress swaying when she turns to see Josh approaching.
-"There you are."
-"Here I am."
-"You okay?"
-"I'm okay." - She smiles at him, something that became easier with time.
-"So, what did you think of the celebrations?"
-"They were fun, as always, and I was happy to see so many familiar faces. Although, not so happy with the amount of work it took to make it happen. I mean, I know that we do this every year, but I still get surprised with the amount of work it takes."
-"Yes, well, I do not envy you and Mackenzie. But you two always come through and make it look so easy."
-"Do you wanna trade places next year and see just how not easy it is?"
-"No, thank you. I am sure I would just make a mess of things." - Josh chuckles at the thought. -"What are your thoughts on our special guest?"
-"His reputation preceded him and he definitely lives up to it." - Bella scoffs.
-"About that, I have some news."
-"What news?" - Bella looks at him, suspiciously.
-"You have a suitor."
-"What? Who?"
-"King Henry Cavill."
