Like Glue

Tina called out of work for today. She couldn't bare to see Laurent in her class mentally undressing her, knowing exactly what she looked like naked. It would've burned her skin. Instead she got a thorough shower scrubbing her body so hard she was red when she got out. She rubbed coco butter all over her skin as well as body mist. She wanted no residue of Lau on her. At the moment she was on the phone with her friend who she trusted with everything.

T: Im telling you Gwen im so scared for Kay to find out. I mean he doesn't exactly like Lau because he stares at me and always tries to speak.

G: Well girl you should have been smart to know he was gonna try you. Girl you are gorgeous, me and you are the type women that could pull and guy young and old! Girl I just hope its your last time.

T: OH trust me! This wasn't supposed to happen. I don't know why I gave in to it but I promise it will never happen again. I will never let anyone or anything come between me and my husband...believe that.

G: Mhm and I will, just make sure what your saying is ya word.

Soon Tina got off the phone with Gwen and it was a well needed talk. She knew she could trust her to steer her in the right direction. It was just what she needed. Now all she had to do was wait for her family to come home so she could make herself feel better with her family once again. The first person to come home was her son and soon after would be her husband and daughter.

She was peacefully reading a novel to herself when she heard Devon's voice through the door. "Hey ma wassup!?" he yelled. Tina got up from the couch and placed the book on the seat. She walked over towards the door to see Devon picking up his board into the bend of his arm. "What are you so happy about boy?" Tina asked smiling at him. She could read his body language and could tell that he wanted to ask her something.

D: Okay ma you said that I should make new friends right?

T: Yes, what are you up to?

Devon said nothing more and motioned for someone to come from behind the door frame to come into view. A Jordan sneaker stepped onto the mat, followed by a long leg and slender body until finally...him. Tina's eyes got wide and once again her heart stopped its normal rhythm. "I seen him looking all bored on the porch. He said his Xbox is broken so I asked if he wanted to play on mine and he said cool. Uh I was just wonderin' if it was cool if he did. Is it ma?"

Lau: Yea is it ma? *wink*

Tina thought she would throw up right then and there. Her hands began trembling as she struggled to find her voice. "Uh..De-Devon. C-c-can I talk to you. Please." Tina rushed to the kitchen with Devon on her heels confused. Once they were face-to-face Devon could see his mother's worried look and it concerned him.

D: Ma, wassup witchu? You aight?

T: Look..I don't want you hanging out with him okay. I just don't think its appropriate for someone his age to be hanging with you.

D: Oh ma come on. He's the neighbor and he just moved here. Don't you think they already having a hard time finding people to get along with, im just trying to reach out.

T: Yes and I get it baby I know and yes I am proud of you its just...its just because I said so. And you not hangin out with him and that's it, I aint talkin no more!

Tina brushed passed him on her way to tell Lau to leave but Devon was set on giving her attitude for her decision.

D: Man why!? That's not fair.

T: It is fair because you live in my house! Now if you don't like it you can go!

D: (shakes head)
