Let Go

Sprinting down the hallway of the C.F. Thompson Psychiatric Clinic, Tina and her family made their way to the west waiting room to find Larry. Once they made it through a couple of double doors they saw him talking to a nurse and a man in a suit. "Larry!" Tina got his attention from down the hall. He and the people he was speaking to looked up. He excused himself and walked towards them. His face was red and his eyes were bloodshot. He and Tina embraced tightly as he let his emotions go.

"Oh honey...its gonna be okay *sniffles*..everything's gonna be alright...*sniffles*...I promise honey...Oooh my goodness sweetie..I'm so sorry that you have to make this decision." They let go and Larry tried his hardest to keep it together but the continuous thought of his brother kept him upset. Tina pushed him to sit down. Kaysean and Devon looked on at him and felt bad. They didn't understand his hurt but they still showed empathy.

T: (wipes face) So, who were those people you were speaking with?

L: ...They the people...*sniffles* that wanna admit my brother to here. *cries*

T: Shh shh Larry its okay honey. I know you don't want your brother to go but, your brother has issues that can not be solved by being in the outside world...you gotta understand. He's not healthy honey.

L: ...I know..I know he need help but, I so scared he no gonna get better. He always be better when I take care of him. I scared they gonna just throw him away or he be into a vegtable.

T: Well I will tell you like this. This facility is the best Psychiatric clinic in the country okay. He will be fine, and ya know depending on how he progresses you can visit him any time...Larry its what's best for him. Don't be selfish. Let your brother get the help he needs. Please...you know what he's put our family through...I need to be here for them. (points at fam)

L: I know...Can you be here for me? I have to sign the papers saying I want to give him to them for to get him better. I cant do it alone.

T: Of course I will. 

Soon enough a women came over to Larry. She was one of the Managers at the Clinic. She had the papers on the clipboard to be signed. Tina and Larry both stood up and looked at each other. Then Looked at the papers. Larry grabbed the clipboard with a heavy heart and skimmed over the words. The woman was saying something to him, but all he could do was replay all the past memories he's had with his brother up until this point. He would miss his brother, but if he didn't leave him there...he was only hurting him. He lifted up the final page in the back, put the pin to the line and signed:
