I was greeted with a stone flying straight past my head upon entering the yard.

I stopped to process what was happening.

I watched as people peeped over their fences while others stood directly in the middle of our yard as my aunt went back and forth with a lady that lived a few houses down.

Stones were being thrown and men were trying their best to part the fight.

"Stop walk and fuck people husband dutty gyal" A bystander commented.

Murddaaa

My aunt struggles against the men holding onto her hands.

"Mek mi Eva see you a road kimesha me ago floor you" she says her chest heaving up and down.

I saw a girl that I was familiar with standing at the fence and I walked over to her.

"A wah a keep?" I ask laughing a bit.

"Mi seh girl apparently you aunty a tek kimesha husband so she find out and come fi confront har then this big thing start" she says gesturing towards the argument that was still very heated.

"So weh Brian deh?" I ask looking at the women who were still going at it.

"Him gone a work, somebody muss tell him say all a this a gwaan" she says laughing.

I laugh a bit turning my attention to all the commotion.

The sound of gun shots made everyone scatter some screaming others running to their houses quietly.

My eyes caught sight of Brian walking behind kimesha his face stern.

Everybody in the community knows that he gives kimesha bun. He's always with a different female, but who would've guessed my aunt would be one.

I saw her sitting under the tree with her head in her hands.

Kmt.

I walk over to her touching her shoulder, she looks up at me tears staining her face.

"You alright" I ask bending down.

She continues crying, after a while she looks up wiping her eyes with her sleeve.

"Mi good" she says forcing a smile.

Lie.

"You sure?" I ask rubbing her back softly.

She nods and I sigh standing up.

"If you need anything you can always knock." I tell her, taking one last look at her before walking towards my house.

I head straight towards my room taking my phone out.

I turn off dnd and the notifications start piling in.
